R-beta: par
I started using R to draw different plots. Thereby I'm having different problems adjusting graphical parameters.
I wonder wy, because I don't see any reason. I'm using R61.1 with Linux Slackware (kernel 2.0?), emacs19.31 and ESS-5.0
1. I want to write a text on margin-site 4, therefore I need to reduce my plot in size . But
whatever I do, the size doesn't change:

Centos 6.4 How to increase console font size.
Just installed 6.4 on and old Dell laptop and the font only takes up half
the screen. I have tried setfont and altering grub.conf vga= but it does
not work. I have read that I must disable uEFI but have not idea how to do
that. Can anyone help? I only use this machine in console mode and I just
want the full screen font size that I used to have in 5.x versions.
Thanks,
Richard

2.0.0-prealpha*: Only 8.3 filenames with NT 3.51?
Hi all,
We've been using the 2.0.0 prealpha's with some success, but
now I have run into a problem which I can't seem to solve.
The client, an NT 3.51 workstation logged in to an NT 3.51 PDC,
can't create long file names on a 2.0.0 prealpha Samba server.
For example, when renaming a file from 'readme.doc' to 'readme.pqrst',
'readme.pqr' is created. In

Re: LPRng: Putting a stamp on all printed sheet
Here is a an encapsulated postscript file and some raw, generic postscript
commands to precede and follow the EPS file which puts a message on
the page.
I have tried this out on two postscript files and it works.
NOW, you will have to generate this file for each print job with the
appropriate parameters, including, I suppose, the right bounding box,
the right location of the text, maybe change
