Getting Keypressed State in rgl
Dear Rglers,
when using a callback in rgl (Windows, if it matters)
http://finzi.psych.upenn.edu/R/library/rgl/html/callbacks.html
I would like to get the Asynchronous keyboard status (as least
Shift/Control, but preferably other key) to set markers in a plot.
getGraphicsEvents seems to be limited to normal graphics windows.

Wine and expanded memory
Greetings --
I have a DOS .exe file that I would like to run in Wine (the underlying
Windows is Win2K); it gives the error "Needs 1024K of expanded memory."
I have a PIF file which supposedly sets up this memory environment, but
.PIF files cannot be loaded by Wine.
Possible solutions:
* Make wine make the .exe think there is 1024K of expanded memory.
* Make wine run the .pif file

Howto start Linux programs from wine ?
I am using Lotus Notes 5.04a under Wine/Linux, and I can say the wine
developers did a great job.
I would like to start a Linux program from wine, e. g. start the Acroread
viewer when clicking on an attached PDF document.
Does someone know how to do that ?

Tinn R
Dear R-users,
I have installed the latest version of Tinn R (Version 2.2.0.2).
With the older versions it was possible to run Tinn R next to R and then select code that one could send to R.
Now it seems that one has to start the R gui in Tinn R and then it is possible to select en run code of R.
But if I start R within Tinn R it does NOT start the R-Gui but only the R console. When I start R

Invoking Rails from an API
Hi,
I am trying to use ruby int an embedded web server. The environment
does not have the luxury of CGI or WebBrick. I find limited
documentation on how to get this to work. As a test program on windows,
I tried the code in the section below.
I have the issues.
1. Is public/dispatch.rb the right script to invoke a rails app? If
so, what is the right way to invoke dispatch.rb?

This is release 1.0-rc1 of Wine, a free implementation of Windows on Unix.
This is the first release candidate for Wine 1.0. Please give it a

R-0.61.1 compiled with egcs-mingw32
I have made available the work of the last weekend that I mentioned
in my previous messages on ftp://sirio.stat.unipd.it/pub/R.
Many thanks to Peter D. and Ross I. for their suggestions.
If you think that the work is of some interest, I can upload it
to CRAN.

reason for bad performance on i915 (AIGLX)
Greetings everybody!
For about two weeks I'm now a happy owner of an intel-powered laptop
(chipset, wifi, gfx) and wanted to give it a full test-drive of compiz
and other GL-intensive programs.
The laptop runs Xorg 7.1.1 and the i810 driver that comes with it
(stock rpm from FC6). I'm forced to start compiz 0.3.4 with these
options...
--use-cow
--strict-binding
--indirect-rendering
