[RFC PATCH] Support running nested in a Mir compositor
From: Christopher James Halse Rogers <raof at ubuntu.com>
Barring some (admittedly significant) missing optimisations? this is reasonably
complete, but can't be applied until the Xserver patch has landed,
and that needs more work.
This demonstrates the approach, however.
There's probably some code to be shared with XWayland support, around the
output handling (or lack thereof) and

[PATCH 0/4] nouveau: xserver 1.13 compat fixes
Here are a few patches adding some missing functions in
NvPlatformProbe, which iirc is being used as of xserver 1.13
First patch adds a nouveau_kernel_mode_enabled helper, similar
to xf86-video-radeon
Second and third use the function in Nv{Pci,Platform}Probe
And last one ensures we can still use ZaphodHead and relative
head positioning via xorg.conf
The coding style may be a bit off, despite my

[PATCH] nvc0: Add and enable vblank support
Based on the original patch by Christoph Bumiller, but since
it depends on kernel support patched I cannot push it yet.
The changes are that I enable vblank by default, and offset
takes OFFSET_HIGH/LOW instead of something relative to notifier_bo.

[PATCH] Reflow logic to make it easier to follow
The control flow was:
if (!y) {
ppix = ...
}
if (y) {
...
} else if (x) {
use ppix for something
} else {
use ppix for something
}
Merge the if(!y) block with the two else branches. This avoids
a false-positive in the clang static analyzer, it can't know that
!y and x are mutually exclusive.
The result looks something like this:
if (y) {
...
} else {
ppix = ...
if (x) {

[PATCH ddx] Add support for VRAM-less devices to the ddx
With this patch the DDX almost works with GK20A, the missing piece is adding COHERENT mappings to the right places. ;-)
If you specify NOUVEAU_BO_APER the kernel will truncate valid_domains to the domains specified at creation time.
This means that as long as we only specify the correct domain in nouveau_allocate_surface the effect is still the same.

[PATCH] nv10/exa: Spring-cleaning
* Kill the A8+A8 hack. Recent enough X servers (>=1.7) fall back to
ARGB glyphs for drivers not supporting A8 render targets.
* Kill all the global state. It doesn't matter a lot yet but it might
if we get multicard working at some point.
* Other random clean-ups with no functional changes.

For now pixmaps will only be tiled if driver pixmaps are being used
and we're told to with the NOUVEAU_CREATE_PIXMAP_TILED usage hint.

[PATCH] nv30/exa : cleanup from nv40 exa
This has two purposes :
- cleaner code
- reduce the diff between nv30 and nv40 exa for a possible nvfx_exa merge ?
The main differences seem to be that nv30 uses rect texture format (and does
not support repeat on that). Then there are some minor changes in TX_FORMAT
RT_FORMAT and TEX_FILTER usage. And NVAccelInitNVx0TCL look complete
different.
Tested with:
./rendercheck -t

[PATCH] Add Option "DRI3" to allow to disable DRI3 under EXA.
X-Server versions older than 1.16.3 have bugs in their
DRI3/Present implementation which impair nouveau, so
it is better to stick to good old DRI2 by default on
such servers. E.g., page flipping doesn't work at all
under DRI3/Present with older servers, and use of
extensions like OML_sync_control, SGI_video_sync or
INTEL_swap_events also causes failure of Present.

[PATCH] Add Option "DRI3" to allow to disable DRI3 under EXA.
That would be great, as long as it does only that and does not go into
the "drivername" territory. As the said driver ;-)
"A driver name to use can be provided instead
of simple boolean value, which will be passed to the GL implementation for
it to load the appropriate backend."

[PATCH] Add Option "DRI3" to allow to disable DRI3 under EXA.
The DRI option with the intel ddx can be used to indicate the following
- whether dri is disabled
- the dri "version" - dri1, dri2, dri3
- the dri module name - doo_dri.so bar_dri.so
I'm not sure how exactly it's supposed to work/works, and I believe
most of that is due to legacy reasons. I'm just saying let's not do
the whole thing - just the dri "version"

[PATCH] nv04-nv40/exa: Reorder the commands in PrepareCopy to match the blob.
This fixes a somewhat indeterministic corruption problem on nv17 when
there is stuff going on the other fifos (e.g. gallium but I've also
reproduced it with an app just SIFM-ing memory around): in some cases
it made the blits the X server had scheduled use the wrong pitch.
