GeForce GTS 250M: Mplayer freezes machine when playing openGL
I am happy to report that the patches to support my video card under Nouveau have appeared in the mainstream kernel (currently running 2.6.34-rc5). But I have noticed that, if I run mplayer with -vo gl (output to an OpenGL window), the machine tends to crash after a variable time - from a few seconds to a few minutes. I tried with full-screen or partial, and even with the actual playback screen

Any known problems using xrandr with Nouveau
Running Debian Wheezy Hardware: Older P4 3.06 GHz video: Nvidia FX 5700LE Monitor is 25.5 asus LCD with 1900x1280 native resolution. (xrander sees it as 1400x900) (I've included the output of xrandr -q at the end, also following that output is Xorg.0.log) I recently made some effort to obtain a large pannable desktop like I have used for many years. And since on newer debian they expect to

nouveau running 2D on a 9800GTX from git master
Finally got around to testing the git masters of xorg, mesa, drm and nouveau running together. The mesa gallium3d driver failed to build until I manually added dri2 to the GALLIUM_STATE_TRACKERS_DIRS line in the configs/autoconf file to force libdri2drm.a to build. I'm not encountering any issues from the testing I've done so far (except that glxgears just draws black). On startup I do

hang when starting X
Hi. I've been testing Fedora rawhide, since Fedora 9 will be coming out soon. I tried running nouveau, and had a hang, so I thought I'd report it here. I'm not sure whether or not this is helpful, but I figured it can't hurt. Anyway, when X started, it got far enough that the X cursor showed up in the middle of the screen, but I was unable to get the cursor to move. As far as I

regression? no more separate xscreens
Dear Devs, The support for multiple xscreens (i.e. no xinerama, just separate :0.0 and :0.1 displays) in nouveau is broken. It would be great if someone could confirm this. It is easily done, by commenting the "xinerama" option from the xorg.conf file: https://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/MultiMonitorDesktop/ With the nvidia proprietary drivers separate xscreens work fine. Nouveau doesn't detect DVI - Monitor
Hello, I'm new here, and I hope I can get any help. At first I thought this is a support mailing list, but it looks more like one for developers. I'm using Nouveau in ubuntu bionic. My problem is, when I connect a second Monitor to my Laptop on DVI-D connector, the monitor is not detected, Nouveau reports it as "disconnected". The Hardware works, because the BIOS uses the

Hi, I tried using the nouveau driver that comes latest with Fedora Rawhide (xorg-x11-drv-nouveau-0.0.10-1.20080311git460cb26) on my HP Pavilion dv2000 laptop with a GeForce 7150M (PCI 10de:0531) but couldn't even get the server up. The server spit out the following log. Could someone tell me how to get things working? Or even if I should file a bug? Xorg.0.log: X.Org X Server 1.4.99.901
