*ERROR* EDID checksum is invalid
Another apparently harmless message.. But I find it quite curious.
Especially that they seem pretty harmful in the case of
http://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25393
So my setup is nv35 with a 19' CRT screen connected to vga output.
I get random occurrences of this message :
[drm:edid_is_valid] *ERROR* EDID checksum is invalid, remainder is 161

NV43: Native resolution not available on Dell 2007FP
I have a Dell 2007FP monitor. NV43 (GeForce 6600) can not use the native
resolution.
1600x1200 is listed under "DDC gathered Modelines" with the rest of the
info, but then is missing from "probed modes".
I have a secondary card, NV4a (GeForce 6200, PCI). It works with this
card. This card does not show "DDC gathered modelines" at all, and
1600x1200 is listed

Was your libdrm compiled with gcc-4.8? If so, make sure to get libdrm 2.4.48 or
later.

Hi,
I ignore against which gcc version my libdrm was compiled but my libdrm
version is 2.4.46-3 (I run debian/testing) :
Versions of packages xserver-xorg-video-nouveau depends on:
ii libc6 2.17-93

https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70452
--- Comment #6 from Moi Jaiunvelo <moijaiunvelo at gmail.com> ---
I tried to backport libdrm from debian/sid and it fixed the graphical
corruption. More precisely for users who would like to reproduce it, I
backported libdrm2, libdrm-intel1, libdrm-radeon1 and libdrm-nouveau2 from
debian/sid to have them in 2.4.49-1 version.

[PATCH] drm/nv31-nv43/mpeg: inst not available on pre-nv44
The inst variable (and thus engctx) will not be properly populated for
pre-NV44 cards. The dma setter method didn't need it anyways, so call it
directly instead of the nv_call indirection.

Tested on NV42. Ben, I'm going to guess that you hate this patch,
since it gets rid of the beautiful nv_call stuff. However I wasn't

NV43 + PPC64 = :(
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
I've been trying to get nouveau working on a Geforce 6600LE in a
dual-core G5 PowerMac system. For various reasons, it's not working.
The first problem I encountered was the lack of virt_to_bus on 64-bit
PPC. After talking to benh on IRC, I created the attached patch.
nouveau.ko can at least load on PPC64 now. :)
However, during X-server
