Wine almost immediately crashes X
Okay, so I've done the requisite searching around, and I'm either missing something unbelievably simple, or something funny is going on here.
I'm attempting to run a couple of simple games under Wine 0.9.57 in Gutsy on my new System76 laptop. When I attempt to run either of them, the loading graphic comes up, but the moment they attempt to change to fullscreen, X crashes. No warnings,

virsh console and other language keymaps
Hi,
I've got a small vm server running kvm + libvirt, and I made a simple shell script that allows users to ssh in and control their vms (power off, etc). However, one of my users uses the french canadian keyboard layout on her home computer, and upon being told "escape character is ^]" expected to need to press ctrl+right-alt_] (] being in the same location it is on a US keyboard).

console keymapping problems
Supposedly CentOS 5.1 should fix the problems with foreign keyboards,
but I cannot see any change. The description in
http://misterd77.blogspot.com/2007/11/xen-graphical-console-and-foreign.html
does not work for me. Nothing changes.
Has had anyone better luck? If so, how?

[PATCH] Handle ISO_Level3_Shift keysym as AltGr in ioemu/vncfb
Hello,
The modern (xkb) way of mapping the AltGr key (113) seems to be using the
ISO_Level3_Shift keysym (0xFE03) instead of the obsolete Mode_switch keysym
(0xFF7E).
This patch let the "keysym to scancode" translator handle the
ISO_Level3_Shift correctly, enabling the use of characters like ~#{[|`\^@]}
on a french keyboard.
Regards,
Cédric

I also keep on getting funny errors of dovecot EVEN THOUGH I
authenticated successfully through SMTP (Dovecto SASL) ?!?!
Just for debugging this entire issue I set those parameters:

Keyboard problems with VNC access
Hi,
I am pretty new to libvirt, but have succeeded in setting up two VM's,
Windows 10 and ClearOS (a Centos derivative) and they both have the same
issue. I have installed both of them with a UK English keyboard, but the
host machine is remote and in the US with a US locale. When I access
either through VNC (I've tried TightVNC and VNC-Viewer), a number of my
keys don't map

how do I revert back from ZFS partitioned disk to original partitions
I accidentally created a zpool on a boot disk, it paniced the system

ZFS + Raid-Z pool size incorrect?
I''m seeing odd behaviour when I create a ZFS raidz pool using three disks. The output of "zpool status" shows the pool size as the size of the three disks combined (as if it were a Raid 0 volume). This isn''t expected behaviour is it? When I create a mirrored volume in ZFS everything is as one would expect the pool is the size of a single drive.
My setup:

Expanding a ZFS pool disk in Solaris 10 on VMWare (or other expandable storage technology)
Hello all,
This is not so much a question but rather a "how-to" for posterity.
Comments and possible fixes are welcome, though.
I''m toying (for work) with a Solaris 10 VM, and it has a dedicated
virtual HDD for data and zones. The template VM had a 20Gb disk,
but a particular application needs more. I hoped ZFS autoexpand
would do the trick transparently, but it turned out

User Authentication and Authorization with SiteMinder
Hi All
I am new the RoR and would like some advice on how to integrate SiteMinder
authentication/authorization in my Rails app.
For those who are not aware SiteMinder authenticates users and then
redirects the user back to the application that requested authentication
while setting response header which look something like this

Killing an EFI label
Since this seems to be a ubiquitous problem for people running ZFS, even
though it''s really a general Solaris admin issue, I''m guessing the
expertise is actually here, so I''m asking here.
I found lots of online pages telling how to do it.
None of them were correct or complete. I think. I seem to have
accomplished it in a somewhat hackish fashion, possibly not

Cannot Mirror RPOOL, Can''t Label Disk to SMI
Dear ZFS experts,
I have 2 SATA 500 GB Hard Drive on my Dual Core PC
I have installed OpenSolaris 2008.11 using Live CD I got from Sun Tech Days in Singapore
Now, using all the guidelines I got here at Indiana Discussion, I can''t attach my second drive to rpool to make them mirror
Initially I was playing around with similar configuration in VirtualBox, and it does not succeed. Finally
