centos guide
hello,
my name is RichardKennesson
I wrote a guide in LaTeX about how to get Redmine up and running with
mercurial. I plan on adding Git and SVN to the guide.
I would like to share it with the community so that they can critique it
and test it.
thanks,
kennesson

How To Beat DocBook Into Submission
To better understand how to work with DocBook, I'd like to suggest
that you check out ZooLib's DocBook documentation from its SourceForge
CVS, and use my work as an example to help you with your work. I
just went through the whole painful process of getting it all to work.
Please learn from my example!

Redmine Ticket Creation and Updates via email - an update
Hi all
We''ve just finished enabling ticket creation and updates via email.
You can now send an email to tickets@puppetlabs.com to create a ticket.
You must have a Redmine account to do this and your From address must
match the address on your Redmine account. Any attachments added to
the email will be applied to the ticket.
By default, issues are added to the Puppet project but you

Disabling password expiry for a AD service account for accessing LDAPS, and security best practices.
Dear samba-list, please disregard my previous post.
Since posting I have found a way to avoid the need to create a dedicated
AD service account purely to allow Redmine to authenticate via LDAPS and
AD. This neatly circumvents my original issue and is much more secure to
boot.
For future Redmine users googling, refer to this document here:

I have created an rsync copy of our company project administration site
and am trying to get Redmine to start on the backup server. The http
configuration files are identical on the main and backup sites. The
backup Redmine application directory is an rsync copy of the master

Using mongrel_rails: Can't install Redmine as win2003 service
Hello everyone.
After stugging 3+ hours installing redmine I got success but still
can''t install redmine as service (windows 2003).
So here is my problem. I successfully installed redmine and mapped it
to mysql, created database and initialized it with default values.
Last thing I''m trying to do is to install it as service on windows
2003, and for this I''m running in

Trac tickets are now READ ONLY -> Please file NEW tickets under Redmine
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT #1;
There appears to be a number of people in #puppet who are not aware of
the fact that we have migrated from Trac to Redmine for ticketing.
If you wish to file new tickets, or have old tickets reopened, please do
it via Redmine[1] and not with Trac.
The Trac instance is _only_ for the Wiki now :)

AJ

Dynamic Filters with AJAX (like Redmine/Trac)
Hello Guys,
I have a model "Person" with lots of columns (date, int, string, so on) and
right now I need to make a filter for my costumer.
My goal is something like this:
http://www.redmine.org/projects/redmine/issues.
Or, even better: http://trac.edgewall.org/demo-0.12/query.
The most interesting feature for me is to be able to choose different
columns and to have customized options

Upgrade Doc to DocBook 5.0?
I'd like to ask what you all would think of me upgrading the libvorbis
doc from whatever version of DocBook it presently uses to DocBook 5.0.
There are three good reasons:
- It supports XML namespaces, so you can embed stuff like Scalable
Vector Graphics and MathML right into your DocBook source.
- DocBook 5.0 uses Relax NG Schemas. This is a far, far better
specification language than

Rails 2 and Rails 3 in the same gemset leads to errors
Hi.
I am pretty new to ruby (and those gems) and rails.. Until now I
thought that all rails application have some kind of integrated
version management (RAILS_GEM_VERSION in Rails 2 and gem ''rails'' in
Rails 3). And therefore I thought that having Rails 2 and Rails 3 in
the same gem repository (in my case gemset under rvm) wouldn''t be a
problem. But during installing
