[PATCH INCOMPLETE] Rewrite virt-make-fs in C (originally Perl).
I thought it would be easy to rewrite virt-make-fs in C.
Two days later ...
The Perl program uses a lot of external commands, which makes
it pretty tedious to implement in C.

this small patch series exposes one of the utility in f2fs-tools, and
use it to expand f2fs partitions in virt-resize.
Thanks,

[PATCH] test-data: Allow tests to be run when Btrfs is not available.
Create the fedora-btrfs.img as an empty file.
The only place this is used explicitly is tests/mountable/
test-mountable-inspect.sh, but that test already skips if !btrfs.
Also this is used via guests-all-good.xml, but the script that creates
this XML skips the file if it has zero size.

[PATCH] OCaml tools: use open_guestfs everywhere
Instead of creating Guestfs handles and manually apply common options
(e.g. debug and trace), use the open_guestfs in Common_utils.
This also applies the common options to handles which didn't set them
before, so we can inspect also their messages if needed.

[PATCH v2] test-data: Allow tests to be run when Btrfs is not available.
v2:
- Moved the btrfs available test into the subclause where it is used.
Note I got tired of fighting emacs indentation mode and I pushed a
whitespace only patch which fixes the indentation to be 4 spaces
instead of 2 spaces:
https://github.com/libguestfs/libguestfs/commit/df54c75d4c53ed580e5269306e11e0758d169452
This v2 patch requires that one.

[PATCH 0/2] RFC: add output selection for --machine-readable
Hi,
this is a first approach (hence RFC, since it misses tests &
documentation) in selecting the output for --machine-readable.
The possible choices are:
* --machine-readable: to stdout, like before
* --machine-readable=file:name-of-file: to the specified file
* --machine-readable=stream:stdout: explicitly to stdout
* --machine-readable=stream:stderr: explicitly to stderr
This makes it

unknown/unavailable method for expanding the ntfs filesystem
Hello,everyone
I ran virt-resize(v1.30.4) on my CentOS 7.1 to resize win2008r2 and got the warning message (virt-resize: warning: unknown/unavailable method for expanding the ntfs
filesystem on /dev/sda2):
>/usr/local/libguestfs-1.30.4/run virt-resize --expand /dev/sda2 /images/win2008_src.raw /dev/vg0/win2008_resize_dst

[PATCH 0/2] resize: Split out the command line parsing into Cmdline
Some simple refactoring of virt-resize.
I originally had the idea that we could turn virt-resize into a
library (cf. virt-customize) and use it from virt-builder, but I now
don't think that would make any meaningful difference. In particular
we'd still have to open the handle the same number of times.
These two patches are left over from my work on that.

[PATCH v2 0/2] add output selection for --machine-readable
Hi,
this adds the possibility to select the output for --machine-readable
in OCaml tools.
The possible choices are:

* --machine-readable=file:name-of-file: to the specified file
* --machine-readable=stream:stdout: explicitly to stdout

[PATCH 0/4] fish: Allow the glob command to expand device patterns (RHBZ#635971).
This patch set fixes a two year old bug in guestfish, namely that the
'glob' command does not expand /dev/* patterns.

Is there a difference ...?
Doh123, how is running a program off an NTFS partition asking for trouble? Ntfsprogs seems to handle it just fine. I know that NTFS doesn't let you mark a file as executable, and that the filesystem is susceptible to fragmentation, but you should just be able to tell it to run rather than display and be good. It shouldn't cause destruction. I think there might even be an NTFS defrag tool

[PATCH 0/1] virt-make-fs: add '--blocksize' option support
From: Nikolay Ivanets <stenavin@gmail.com>
This patch adds 4096 bytes sector size for output disk.
Side notes:
While working on this patch I reveal long standing issue: virt-make-fs can fail
if source directory/archive contains certain amount of really small or empty
files or wide tree of directories. That is because of lack of available inodes
on a small file system to keep files

[PATCH 0/6] Allow non-optargs functions to gain optional arguments.
This rather complex set of patches allow non-optargs functions to gain
optional arguments, while preserving source and binary backwards
compatibility.
The problem is that we cannot add an optional argument to an existing
function. For example, we might want to add flags to the 'lvresize'
API which currently has no optional arguments.

installing centos with oos ntfs format drives
greetings.
i am going to run a fresh install of centos 6.4 and want to mount 3
partitions of oos that are formatted as ntfs in an oem installed box.
if during install, i set up partitions /dev/sda1, /dev/sda2, and
/dev/sdb1 as ntfs, will install install ntfs software or will i have
to select it later on in installation?
also, is it better to mount them under /mnt to keep /media clean?

[PATCH v2 00/18] Add discard support.
This still isn't working at the moment. See:
http://marc.info/?t=139457409300003&r=1&w=2
This set of patches:
- Adds new APIs to support discard in libguestfs.
- Adds discard support to virt-format.
- Adds discard support to virt-sysprep.
- Implements virt-sparsify --in-place.

[PATCH 0/4] Add various ntfs* tools and unify label setting.
This miscellaneous patch adds bindings for:
- ntfsfix
- ntfsclone
- ntfslabel
and unifies filesystem label setting through a single API 'set-label'
which replaces 'set-e2label' and is also able to set labels on NTFS
using the ntfslabel program.
'ntfsfix' has been added as a possible way to fix RHBZ#797760.
However I have not found a way to fully fix this bug. See
