Automatic Update of MP3 Files
Linked file means the original MP3 file posted on the server. init script? Tell me where to find one? That?s what the Web guy evidently didn?t know, since he?s not experienced at Icecast. Automatic Update of MP3 Files
So far I?m getting insults and claims that I don?t know what I?m doing and my Webmaster doesn?t know what he?s doing, even though he?s worked for large bluechip companies. Please make an effort to actually respond to what I asked, and don?t presume to tell me what I did wrong and how it?s my fault ? or his fault. I assume the distribution is the one on the Icecast site. I have a CentOS 6.5

Automatic Update of MP3 Files
That?s better. This is helpful and I sent the information off to the Webmaster to review. Peace, Gene > On Sep 27, 2014, at 1:05 AM, Thomas B. netCDF to TIFF
Greetings R users! I am working with the ENSEMBLE climate data (10 min resolution daily temperatures images for all of Europe 1950-2006). The data comes packaged in a single netCDF file. I would like to read the data in and export a subset (2002-2006) as geotiffs (one image per day). So far, I can successfully read in the data and view the images within an R display window. However, I have yet to

Automatic Update of MP3 Files
Well, not quite. The radio network that carries my two radio shows does on-demand and live. We just wanted an on-demand streamer for our own needs. The code from our webmaster to update after a linked file is replaced is: -------------------------------------------------------------- WHEN YOU UPLOAD A NEW SHOW: -------------------------------------------------------------- 1) You need to

Automatic Update of MP3 Files
So I have a new Icecast setup with two channels, each of which carries a link to MP3 files. Whenever I update the .m3u file to reflect a changed link, I have to restart Icecast and the Icegenerator to make it recognize the change. Is there a way to automate this process? So when I update the file link, that?s reflected in the stream, which auto updates too? How do I go about this? Peace, Gene

auto increment id
looking at the unit tests of activerecord leads me to think the db is completely responsible for auto-incrementing the id field and rails does no magic here. can someone confirm that this is a true statement? that being the case - what is the preferred way to write database agnostic sql for one''s schema since each of the dbs has slightly different syntax for this functionality... does

bug in postgresql ''now'' time handling??
line 212 of postgresql_adapter.rb is return Time.now.to_s if value =~ /^\(''now''::text\)::(date|timestamp)/ i don''t think this will work. in postgresql the field ''now'' is pinned to the SAME TIME for the duration of a transaction. eg. if you do begin transaction; insert into t values(42, ''now''); # sleep one minute

Core dumps in KDE 3.1 something do with libc_r
Not everytime but most times when I close a program I get the application box and in the backtrace box the error is always the same. I've attached the blacktrace log. Besides this KDE functions fine and never happens when using an application on when closing one. Problems starting Wavelab
hi i've been running steinberg's wavelab 5 under wine20041201, but recently i upgraded to wine20050111 - and wavelab was the only app i was using that didn't work ... so i downgraded back to 20041201 - and it won't work :( i had compiled the 2005 release from source (and was able to see, for the first time, wine's jack audio driver work ... well, *try* to work), but have

Adding support for .w64 (wave64) format
I use Sony (previously Sonic Foundry) Sound Forge, which allows me to save audio files in .w64 (Wave 64) format to get around the 2GB .wav file limitation. W64 was invented by Sonic Foundry, and is an open format as far as I know. The only programs I know about using the .w64 format at the moment are Sound Forge and Steinberg Nuendo, although there may be others out there. With increasing

freebsd ports provider patch to use ports tree directly
The included patch is what I''ve been able to throw together in a few hours after studying the pkgtools code. All I''m using the library for at the moment is to resolve the proper base location of the ports tree, but at least by invoking make directly instead of through portupgrade it works *a lot* better. Is there a proper way to include/require a third party ruby library?

freebsd and latest non-devel port installations
hi, i''ve run into somewhat of a snag with my puppet instances: when i try to have puppet install a port via portupgrade, it seems to step up each version in ports to the latest, if there are multiple versions. i''ve run into this with two ports so far: vim and postfix. my package line is: package { postfix: ensure => latest } i am however able to specify the version

portupgrade(1) | portmaster(8) -- which is more effective for large upgrade?
Greetings, I haven't upgraded my tree(s) for awhile. My last attempt to rebuild after an updating src && ports, resulted in nearly installing the entire ports tree, which is why I've waited so long. Try as I might, I've had great difficulty finding something that will _only_ upgrade what I already have installed, _and_ respect the "options" used during the original

Samba upgrade HowTo requested
Dear Samba friends, Last weekend I decided to upgrade the samba server. We were running Samba 3.3 something and FreeBSD portupgrade was complaining that this version should be removed and assumingly replaced by the newest version. I removed the package via portupgrade and installed the 3.5.6 version. The upgrade went quite smoothly in general, but I encountered some difficulties with the printer
