Re: Open File in MSOFFICE winword 2007 Causes Crash
I got the same problem: any MSOffice application crashes when the file dialog window is started (in any case: open file, save as, etc.). I have turnned on WINEDEBUG=warn+all and i got almost the same. Also, I'm using a PT-BR office version and I also got this message: warn:module:load_builtin_dll failed to load .so lib for builtin L"C:\\Arquivos de programas\\Arquivos comuns\\Microsoft

Hello everyone, I've been trying this for a short time, and I have a problem. I can start streaming but only if I do it inside my local network, if i try to stream from outside my local network, I just can't simply connect. Does anyone have any idea I can do? Samba - wireless - PDC
Hello I wonder how I could get my linux box to serve logins to a Windows Me box. At the moment samba is running but I cannot access home dirs (No user log on). Since ME (wireless card DWL+G520) accesses an AP (DI 624 - 192.168.0.1 + ADSL) and the card manager comes up at end of the booting process, I have no idea how to get a user log on box (To be honest I don't know if this is

WLAN support
Hi folks! First post here, so please don't bother if it's not the right place to post those kind of questions. I'm currently running a 4.7-release (upgrade to 4.8 planned but not yet started) on my production box. As I would like to setup a small WLAN (major use for my notebook, other clients are possible) I need to know which cards are really supported. The handbook is IMHO not

FC22 verus FC23
I have a quad display set up. It is working perfectly under FC22, but bombs on FC23. I wish I had more information for you, but I had to get this machine back up and running. Not only does the quad head not work, the one working head was operating at 1280x1024 versus 1920x1080. I tried doing a fresh install of FC23 and an upgrade from FC22 to FC23. It did not work in either situation. So, I

ath(4) for D-Link G520M on 5.5-R?
I just got the D-Link DWL-G520M PCI wireless card. I'm not interested in super-G or any other post-802.11b feature in particular; the reason I got it was because the marketing materials hinted that (at least some revision of it) had the Atheros chipset. It isn't recognized at all by ath(4) on 5.5. Here is the pciconf -lv section: none0@pci0:14:0: class=0x020000 card=0x3a681186

Atheros AR5141
Hi I got myself a nice little R52 802.11a/b/g MiniPCI Card for our router. This card is using the Atheros AR5141 chipset. I searched everywhere to find out more info on this and came across a few pages where it said that the AR5141 chipset is supported but when I stick the card in the router and boot FreeBSD 7-STABLE it hangs when loading the Atheros drivers It stops right after this ath0:

ath(4) and 802.11g speed
So, with the updated HAL, I'm now able to negotiate an IP address via DHCP over the WLAN. Huzzah! But I've got two questions (now that I can use the card): ath(4) doesn't contain a list of media nor mediaopt settings that can be used. Some are detailed down in EXAMPLES, but there's no comprehensive list. (As well, and this is minor, the speeds are explicitly listed for 802.11a

Different Estimated values between R and Excel
Hi, I used simple linear regression with the R software and EXCEL on the same data. Although , I find the same R2=0.84, I find different estimated values (intercept and slope). For the R software (slope =0.0009, Intercept = -0.1478), for EXCEL (slope =927.7, Intercept = 154,41). When I use the estimated values from the R software, the results seem bad, however the results of Exel seem correct.

ATA driver not as good in 4.8 as 4.5?
I have a Lite-On 24102B burner on an Epox 7KXA (VIA 686A southbridge) together with a few SCSI disks. I recently upgraded from FreeBSD 4.5 to 4.7 then almost immediately to 4.8. I've had trouble with the burner since. With FreeBSD 4.5, I used "sysctl hw.atamodes=---,---,dma,---" to set the burner to DMA. Everything then worked fine. As far as I know it was using UDMA33.

Hard(?) lock when reassociating ath with wpa_supplicant on RELENG_7
I seem to be able to lock my machine by going into wpa_cli and asking it to 'reassoc'. The reason for question mark after "hard" is that debug information (caused by wlandebug and athdebug) is being printed on the console. The only way to get machine's attention is to hold power button for 8 seconds. Note: manual reassociation is just the handy way to reproduce the problem

Pioneer DVD-120s probe problem
Hello, I'm building a new system for a friend and I bought a Pioneer DVD-120s drive for him because it was a newer version of the drive I use (DVD-116) and my friend uses (DVD-106s) with FreeBSD. The problem is that FreeBSD cannot probe the drive for some reason. I've tried twiddling the ATAPI_DMA bit, rescanned the drive, and toyed with the cable, but nothing seems to work. The

can't "make"
Hello. I just fresh-installed 5.3 onto my laptop, and I have a problem trying to get wifi working. Be aware that I have 5.2 on it, and did the same process, and it worked great! I'm using http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Laptops/WirelessAR5007EG -- as I did for 5.2. The problem arises in section 6: [mpk at a3680 madwifi-hal-0.10.5.6-r3968-20090402]$ make /bin/sh: line 0: cd:
