clang-format sets executable permission on windows (openNativeFile ignores mode on Windows)
Hi, I'm having an issue where clang-format is setting the executable bit on all source files it modifies when using the -i parameter. I spent some time troubleshooting this issue today, and I found that clang-format create a new temporary file, writes the formatted source into that file, then copies it over the old file. Deep in the bowels of openNativeFile in

clang-format sets executable permission on windows (openNativeFile ignores mode on Windows)
I’m using Cygwin to interact with the source tree. My sources (I’m working on LLVM itself) were created by other developers (and by extension, created by git.exe on my machine), but a quick expirement of trying “touch foo” shows that Cygwin creates files with 644 mode. Finding the file I created in explorer and checking the properties shows it has the following NTFS permissions: My user: Read,

clang-format sets executable permission on windows (openNativeFile ignores mode on Windows)
Mapping between Windows DACLs and Posix user-group-other file permissions is complex, depends on externalities, and is necessarily lossy: http://www.cygwin.com/cygwin-ug-net/using-filemodes.html http://www.cygwin.com/cygwin-ug-net/ntsec.html While there's a lot of information at those links, they don't completely explain how the mapping works. (And who knows if GnuWin32 does the mapping

RE: Converting to 1.1.4, help please!
Thanks Jud, I was able to re-encode my entire FLAC archive into 1.1.4, although on my slow computer (with all other apps closed) it took over 3 days to complete! Only one song returned an error and that was quite easy to fix. I did run into one issue though. I have a FLAC album in which the songs are all 24/96 and REFLAC fails when it runs. I want to re-encode them from compression level 5

CreateProcess and redirected stdout from Linux apps?
I'm using Wine 1.0.1. I have a Win32 application that uses ShellExecute in some places and CreateProcess in others to execute batch files and executables. Under both Windows XP and Wine, both ShellExecute and CreateProcess execute their executables successfully. However, when using CreateProcess on Windows the output of batch files or console apps is redirected and displayed in a text box

CreateProcess for Unix binaries
The CreateProcess function sets a lpProcessInformation field. This field is set when a Windows process is called, but erased when a Unix binary (e.g. /bin/sleep 2) is called, so the hprocess handle is unknown. Is there a way to obtain this process handle so that GetExitCodeProcess can be called? I basically want to know when the called process has exited. Thanks
