Nelson- Siegel - (Yield Curve - Smoothening of curve)
I am Julia Cains from Brisbane. This is my
first mail to this group and I have recently started learning the R language.
I am trying to learn the smoothening
of the yield curve. However, I came across the CRAN package – “YieldCurve”
meant for Modelling and estimation of the yield curve. The problem is I am not
able to understand whether this package will help me to carry out smoothening of

Siegel-Tukey test for equal variability (code)
Hi, I recently ran into the problem that I needed a Siegel-Tukey test for
equal variability based on ranks. Maybe there is a package that has it
implemented, but I could not find it. So I programmed an R function to do
it. The Siegel-Tukey test requires to recode the ranks so that they express
variability rather than ascending order. This is essentially what the code
further below does. After the

Old Version of R - packages
Hi!
Unfortunately the version loaded on the office server is 2.6.0 (for some undisclosed so called policy decision by my adamant IT dept. who are not willing to upgrade), I need to use YieldCurve package compatible with this version. On my standalone machine I have R 2.9 loaded and hence I have no problem in using the YieldCurve package.
(a) Kindly guide how do I download the version of

umount oops
Hi,
I tried very promising btrfs to test it a little and I experienced a
little bug in implementation. I''m not sure where the bug lies however
this works quite well to reproduce the problem:

dd if=/dev/zero of=mountme2 bs=4k count=100000
mkfs.btrfs mountme
mkfs.btrfs mountme2

Maximizar Consola de R al inicio
Hola Miguel Angel:
Primero que nada gracias por tu aporte.
Los parámetros del MDI que tengo en el fichero Rconsole son:
MDI = yes
MDIsize = 0*0+0+0

Confidence intervals around the MIC (Maximal information coefficient)
Dear R-Experts,
Here below is my R code (reproducible example) to calculate the confidence intervals around the spearman coefficient.
##########
C=c(2,4,5,6,3,4,5,7,8,7,6,5,6,7,7,8,5,4,3,2)
D=c(3,5,4,6,7,2,3,1,2,4,5,4,6,4,5,4,3,2,8,9)
cor(C,D,method= "spearman")
library(boot)
myCor=function(data,index){
cor(data[index, ])[1,2]
}
results=boot(data=cbind(C,D),statistic=myCor, R=2000)

Confidence intervals around the MIC (Maximal information coefficient)
Hi Rui,
Many thanks. The R code works BUT the results I get are quite weird I guess !
MIC = 0.2650
Normal 95% CI = (0.9614, 1.0398)
The MIC is not inside the confidence intervals !
Is there something wrong in the R code ?
Here is the reproducible example :
##########
C=c(2,4,5,6,3,4,5,7,8,7,6,5,6,7,7,8,5,4,3,2)
D=c(3,5,4,6,7,2,3,1,2,4,5,4,6,4,5,4,3,2,8,9)
library(minerva)
mine(C,D)$MIC

[LLVMdev] LLVM instrumentation
The PGO was my first guess but I can get a lot of information.
At first, I follow the explanation at http://clang.llvm.org/docs/UsersManual.html#profiling-with-instrumentation but instead of llvm-profdata merge, I used llvm-profdata show *.profraw.
Sadly, the information I get is the total number of function, the maximum function count and the maximum internal block count.
Do you know if you

Confidence intervals around the MIC (Maximal information coefficient)
Hello,
First of all, when I tried to use function mic I got an error.
mic(cbind(C, D))
Error in mic(cbind(C, D)) : could not find function "mic"
So I've changed your function myCor and all went well, with a warning
relative to BCa intervals.
myCor <- function(data, index){
mine(data[index, ])$MIC
}
results=boot(data = cbind(C,D), statistic = myCor, R = 2000)

How to open a file with a name changed?
Hi, I apologize for my english.
I?m trying to read a file, but the name of this file changes every day, for
example: today is May 24, 2012
bonos<- read.table("C:/Bonos/*20120524*.csv", header=TRUE, sep="\t")
So, tomorrow I want to read the file again, but i don?t want to put the date
by myself, i want this automatically. I know that if a put day() this
instruccion gives

Confidence intervals around the MIC (Maximal information coefficient)
You need:
myCor <- function(data, index){
mine(data[index, ])$MIC[1, 2]
}
results=boot(data = cbind(C,D), statistic = myCor, R = 2000)
boot.ci(results,type="all")
Look at the differences between:
mine(C, D)
and
mine(cbind(C, D))
The first returns a value, the second returns a symmetric matrix. Just like cor()

Sending Calls via SIP trunk from several different IP addresses from same Asterisk Machine, to the same destination IP
Hi!
I would like to reopen a discussion that I saw a couple of years ago, with the subject "Sending Calls via SIP trunk from two different IP addresses from same Asterisk Machine"
The use case is simpe: There are providers that want to see a separate source IP address for each of their customers SIP trunks. Now, if we have an asterisk box with several customers, we have a problem.

optimizacion costos
Estimados.

Cross-validation -> lift curve
Hi all,
I'd like to do cross-validation on lm and get the resulting lift curve/table
(or, alternatively, the estimates on 100% of my data with which I can get
lift).
If such a thing doesn't exist, could it be derived using cv.lm, or would we
need to start from scratch?
Thanks!
