What about running tasks/containers directly on the host?

Hi Daniel,
Thank you very much for the quick answer. Now it is clear how this
memballooning driver works, and how it can be managed manually.
I really appreciate your answer.

[PATCH net 2/3] virtio-net: fix num calculation on frag skb allocation failure
We need decrease the rq->num after we can get a buf through
virtqueue_get_buf() even if we could not allocate frag skb. Otherwise, the
refill routine won't be triggered under heavy memory stress since the driver may
still think there's enough room.

server exercising, stressing, and/or testing
greetings
would someone please point me to an excellent server exercising, stressing,
and/or testing program that will run on centos 4?
i want one that will not out and out destroy a machine so to speak...
...meaning testing is one thing, yet pounding a box in the hard drive
department over and above the cause or unnecessarily does not appeal to me.
fyi the box i want to test/stress this time

_NET_WM_FULLSCREEN_MONITORS hint (YAY!!)
Hiya Compiz list! I am a Linux UI dude for VMware as my day job and am
working on improving things in Workstation and Player with regards to
multiple monitors on Linux. Some of my colleagues worked with the
xdg/wm-spec folks just earlier this year to get the
_NET_WM_FULLSCREEN_MONITORS hint into the EWMH spec to address the needs
applications have in needing to be both fullscreen and spanning

Multi Head Cube rotation
Hi,
I pulled compiz from GIT yesterday to see if I could get proper
multi-head support. I think the current status is great, but I have
one little suggestion to make.
The current behavior is that we have two viewpoints of the "cube"
(it's more like a body with eight side planes now). If it's rotated
one step we skip one of the planes. Rotating four times is enough to
go round

coxreg vs coxph: time-dependent treatment
Dear List,
After including cluster() option the coxreg (from eha package)
produces results slightly different than that of coxph (from survival)
in the following time-dependent treatment effect calculation (example
is used just to make the point). Will appreciate any explaination /
comment.
cheers,
Ehsan

Pareto frontier plots in three dimensions
Hello all
This is my first posting for some years. I am back
using R again and must say I do like the language
(regarding scripting, I also use matlab, perl, and bash).
My question involves plotting a Pareto frontier in
three dimensions. This is strictly a exercise in
visualization, I make no attempt to extract the Pareto
set (aka dominating subset) first.
EXAMPLE PLOTS
