Added code and tests for the tf-idf weighting scheme.
Hello guys.I have sent a pull request for the code and tests of the Tf-Idf weighting scheme. Please do let me know if any changes are required.Meanwhile,Ill begin working on implementing normalizations which require additional statistics and on the DFR schemes. https://github.com/xapian/xapian/pull/6 On Tue, Feb 26, 2013 at 5:30 PM, <xapian-devel-request at lists.xapian.org>wrote: >

Sent a pull request for the Tf-Idf Weighting scheme
Hello guys :) I have sent a pull request for the Tf-Idf Weighting scheme incorporating as many normalizations as I could with the help of statistics currently available from Xapian::Weight . Please let me know what you'll think about it. I used the weighting scheme in a simple searcher and it did a fine job with it. I have no experience with writing tests for features like this. Please give me

Implementing tf-idf weighting scheme in Xapian
Hello guys.I just read up about tf-idf schemes and want to implement it in Xapian (with some frequently used normalizations) as it will also give me a good hang of implementing a weighting scheme before I start working on implementing DFR schemes. I read the following as references and I think Ive understood it well and can write the hack :- 1.)

[IDF][analyzer] Generalizing IDFCalculator to be used for Clang's CFG
Hi! As the title suggests, I'd like to generalize llvm::IDFCalculator to be able to calculate control dependencies on clang's CFG. The issue is however, that many data structures it uses are "hardcoded" to use llvm::BasicBlock, and requires a lot of code to turn it into template arguments. I managed to pull this off by hammering the code until it compiled, and it works

[IDF][analyzer] Generalizing IDFCalculator to be used for Clang's CFG
A polite ping, could someone please share a thought about this? GSoc 2017 Introduction(Weighting Schemes)
Hello Everyone, I am a second year graduate student at IIIT-Bangalore and my interest is in the field of Information Retrieval. I have successfully compiled Xapian from source and have implemented some examples. While going through the project list Weighting Schemes project is the one I was looking to contribute to. So i went through the xapian-core/weight where most of the schemes are already

Weighting Schemes: Evaluation results
Hi, Evaluation of pivoted normalization ("PPP") of tf-idf weighting scheme is also complete now. I have also evaluated the default tf-idf normalization ("ntn") and other normalizations combinations involving pivoted normalization in wdfn, idfn and wtn component as "Pxx", "xPx" and "xxP" normalization strings respectively to have a clear idea about

Weighting Schemes: Evaluation results
Ah. If FIRE doesn't have something that can show this suitably, then > maybe Parth can advise on access to TREC, as I know he's used some of > them in the past. > ?I can say FIRE is also a reliable source but INEX/TREC are better. INEX can give you free access and TREC is not freely available. I had used INEX for xapian in the past and some details are here:

GSOC 2011 : Weighting Schemes
Hi All, I'm Sumith, a postgraduate student in Monash university. I'm working in the area of Text weighting schemes and Text Mining. When I'm going through the GSOC project list, I felt interested in the 'Weighting Schemes' project. At the moment, I have worked with different weighting schemes as TF-IDF and would love to join and contribute with my ideas in this project.

set the eflags.tf of VM
hi,all has anyone set the eflags.TF of vm? I want to introdeuce a VM into single-step by setting the eflags.TF of vm, then I disassemble the bytes at RIP to figure out what''s going on . I have set the trap flag ,but I didn''t achieve what I want. First, I only get hlt, mov, rdtsc, clts, in, out . Second, the VM always crash. does anyone have experience and give

[LLVMdev] Asm syntax of Mips m[tf]cX coprocessor instructions
Hi all, I'm experimenting with compiling some Mips code which is normally built with a gcc cross toolchain with clang instead. This code targets the Cavium Octeon, and uses some of that CPU's crypto engine features which are implemented in coprocessor 2. The inline asm for the crypto code uses instructions of the form "dmtc2 %0, 0xNNNN" - that is the coprocessor register is

Sent a pull request for testing TradWeight using an Rset.

Implemented test coverage for using TradWeight with an Rset
Hello guys. Olly had pointed out on IRC that there is no test for using the TradWeight scheme with a Rset and had directed me to the test coverage of the TradWeight scheme :- http://lcov.xapian.org/latest/weight/tradweight.cc.gcov.html I have added a test to api_anydb.cc which tests the TradWeight scheme using an Rset . I simply modified the rset2 test in api_anydb.cc so that the Mset is made

[LLVMdev] Asm syntax of Mips m[tf]cX coprocessor instructions
Jeremy, Could you send/attach a small test case that demonstrates the problem? It doesn't need to go past the stage that creates a .o. Also, what version of gnu as are you using? Unless it conflicts with a fundamental llvm/clang philosophy, we are trying to keep Mips assembly compatible with AS. Also, keep in mind that the Mips llvm assembler is current development and is not considered

GSoC, Xapian Project Weighting Schemes

Installing Search::xapian
Sorry if this is a repost .. I have edited my query a little bit and my previous post was too long and so was waiting approval(I cancelled it) Ok. Another question.. I have installed the Search ::Xapian on my local machine. Now I'm trying to install it on a machine where i dont have root access. So while running configure of the Xapian library I gave the -prefix option and everything installed

Ideas for allowing specification of weighing scheme for Eset
Hey guys ,Hi :) I am working on a hack which will allow the user to specify a weighing scheme (along with the parameters , if he does not not want to use the default values) to build the Eset (rather than using the hard coded TradWeight scheme with default k=1 ) as Olly had suggested that we can probably get better terms (a more relevant Eset) for query expansion if we use say something

xapian core missing link to math on MSYS2
Dear All, I've tried to build xapian-core 1.4.3 on MSYS2. It fails with attached error (undefined reference to `exp10'). I think it might be missing an explicit link to 'm'. I'm not able to fix this myself as I do not know autotools sufficiently well, but I hope you might be able to help. Cheers, Mario Emmenlauer -- BioDataAnalysis GmbH, Mario Emmenlauer Tel.
