Thank you

AMD/ATI or Nvidia
How well do AMD Radeon cards run on Wine now? From past experience, I wasn't able to get as many games to run with an ATI Radeon compared to Nvidia.

Status of frequency scaling
Hi! I would like to know the status of the frequency scaling in XEN. I found a web site saying that XEN doesn’t work with frequency scaling, at the other hand I found some fixes for powernow-k8 to get rid of some messages. I have an AMD64. powerno-k8 works find with non-XEN kernels, but with XEN-kernels I get the error: powernow-k8: Found 1 AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3400+ processors

kvm cluster w/ c6
In our development lab, I am installing 4 new servers, that I want to use for hosting KVM. each server will have its own direct attached raid. I'd love to be able to 'pool' this storage, but over gigE, I probably shouldn't even try. most of the VM's will be running CentOS 5 and 6, some of the VM's will be postgresql database dev/test servers, others will be

copy/paste centos 6
I had to update all these packages on CentOS 6 for a project. Everything works great on CentOS 6 - except - Copy/Paste between applications. Anyone - know which application below might control that function? Example I cannot have firefox running and copy and paste text into thunderbird. Both applications - actually all applications work - I just cant copy/paste. I'm thinking I did not

[LLVMdev] LLVM Archive Format Extension Proposal
AMD would like to add new functionality to ranlib (and later ar and nm) and to the bits of LLVM Core that read (and later write) archives. Herewith a terse summary of the change, which we want to improve support of OpenCL for multiple GPUs in a single run-time. Conceptually, a serialized archive is really 2 pieces: a few header members and a set of normal file members. There are no constraints on

VGA passthrough and nvidia optimus
Hi Is VGA passthrough with an nvidia optimus laptop remotely feasible? For those who don''t know, nvidia optimus is two hardware cards, connected to the same display. One sandy bridge setup (I use the intel driver for this), and one nvidia card. I have a laptop with this setup, and usually I''m using only the intel card. I then use acpi_call to power down the nvidia card. To use

Intel HD graphics & CentOS 6: Error inserting i915
I installed CentOS 6 to Acer 7750 laptop, which has Intel Sandybridge CPU ( i5-2410M) with integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000. By default X won't use intel driver for graphics, but vesa instead, which limits the resolution to 1024x768. I tried to force the use of intel driver by writing a xorg.cof file, but then X doesn't start at all. I updated libdrm and xorg-x11-drv-intel from
