cat 5 'joiner'? (polycom 500 problem)
What gives with the stupid stupid power system on the Polycom IP500 (I
hope they changed it on the 501's).
Anyway, does anyone know if you can get some type of joiner to connect
two Cat5 cables together, and will this affect the call/signal quality
because my Ethernet cable is longer than the dumb 11ft polycom supply
(oh and their manual is the wrong about which end goes into the handset

delete joiner entry when a habtm entry is removed
Is there an easy way to make sure that a joiner entry is removed when
either part of a habtm is destroyed? I can remove the entry manually
but i wondered if there was a option i could specify in the relationship
declaration (like :dependent=>true).
Thanks,
Steve

Why does Rails only save the joiner record in one instance but not another?
Assuming we have User, Account, and Role models, and a User has_many
:accounts, through: :roles and vice-versa, with the following snippet Rails
automatically creates the Role (joiner) record, but with the snippet after
Rails will not. I think I''m misunderstanding how has_many through works, so
I would appreciate any insight into the subject.

[PATCH] Inclusing memory mapping param for dom0 iommu mappings
OK, cut two of the iommu reserved memory issue patch as we discussed...
This patch adds a boolean boot parameter to xen to allow inclusive
mapping of all memory below 4GB to the iommu mappings for dom0. The
unusable ranges and memory occupied by xen are still excluded. The
parameter is "iommu_inclusive_mapping=1" and is off by default. In
addition to the parameter, a warning is also

simple ogg video joiner GUI for windows
hi all,
i have written a detailed explanation below bu in short, we need a simple free gui for windows to join several ogg files end by end to make one ogg file out of it for an art project. you can see more explanation below...
i am working on an art projects with some art students called "readymade dictionary of the author: a copyleft crowdsourcing free/open source project" where

[PATCH v4 01/04] HVM firmware passthrough HVM defs header
Add public HVM definitions header for firmware passthrough support (including
comment describing the feature''s use). In addition this header is used to
collect the various xenstore string values that are used in HVMLOADER.

VM creation failure using passthrough with latest unstable
I have pulled a recent (today''s) clone of staging/xen-unstable.hg and I
get a failure when trying to create a domain with xend/xm. The failure I
get is:
Error: (''<domain GUID>'', ''VM_metrics'')
I have traced the problem down to where the pci = [ ''02:00.0'' ]
parameter (which is the value in my case) from my configuration

[PATCH 0/2] Fix SMBios table regressions in HVM guests
The series "HVM firmware passthrough" series in Jan 2013 from Ross Philipson
cause two regressions for HVM guests which sadly found their way into the Xen
4.3 release.
The first regression causes an incorrect count of tables to be placed in the
main header, and can be seen by running dmidecode in any applicable HVM domain.
The second regression found its way into the public ABI, making

[PATCH] Included reserved memory regions in dom0 iommu mappings
This adds a boolean boot parameter to xen to allow reserved memory
regions to be added to the iommu mappings for dom0. The parameter
is "iommu_include_reserved" and is off by default. A warning is
also traced when incorrect RMRR to system memory map values are
detected. This is being added to address some incorrect BIOS''s that
do not report correctly the requied reserved memory

Reading Multiple Output Variables
Hi all,
I am trying to read multiple out variables for a sensitivity analysis.
Currently using one output value as follows:
Y<-(E1)
However I need to run analysis against 12 values of Y. So E1-E12.
My matrix will be: Inputs are Column=4, Rows = 40 i.e. 40 rows of 4 input variables in different combinations. These will be analysed against 40 rows of output variables for 12 columns.

gstat 0.9-12: cokriging cross validation and class name incompatibilities
I uploaded gstat 0.9-12 to CRAN, which has a few important changes:
1. Cokriging cross validation
Cokriging cross validation is now possible with the function gstat.cv:
you simply pass a multivariable gstat object, and cross validation is done
for the first variable in the object. Optionally, secondary variable
records
at locations coinciding with the validation locations are removed.

pdf filenames in while loop
Dear R users,
I am a remote sensing researcher currently studying the use of LiDAR data for quantifying tree height, in particular I would like to determine the sample size needed to capture and quantify canopy height variability. To do this I have employed the use of automap(), which automatically calculates variograms including reporting the range of the variogram. The program is easy to use

[PATCH v4 04/04] HVM firmware passthrough ACPI processing
ACPI table passthrough support allowing additional static tables and
SSDTs (AML code) to be loaded. These additional tables are added at the end
of the secondary table list in the RSDT/XSDT tables.

Variogram
Dear All,
Is there anybody has the experience in using variogram(gstat) ? Please kindly give me some hints about the results.
I used variogram() to build a semivariogram plot as:
tr.var=variogram(Incr~1,loc=~X+Y,data=TRI2TU,width=5)
then fir the variogram to get the parameters as:
v.fit = fit.variogram(tr.var,vgm(0.5,"Exp",300,1))

Are package maintainers responsible for name-mangling class names?
The following came up when Roger Bivand and I discussed
R's name spaces and overlap in packages, in the bus to the
field trip during StatGIS, last Tuesday:
If two packages create the same class, say "variogram", and both
are loaded, then using a method for an object of class "variogram"
cannot discriminate between them and will call the method in the
package loaded last.

Variogram (nlme) of a lme object - corSpatial element question
Dear Users,
>From previous analysis (semi-variograms using package gstat), I found
spatial autocorrelation in my dataset.
The best fitted model to this spatial correlation structure is the Gaussian
model (Spherical, Exponential, Linear tested and comparison done by Sum of
Square errors).
So I used corGaus function to define this spatial autocorrelation in my lme
model using the option

using names() as a variable in a formula
Greetings List,
I'm having some trouble with the use of the names function in a formula. Below is an example of something that works (i.e first line), and the second line is the same formula which doesn't. I want to be able to reference the column of the dataC table so I can run the variogram iteratively with a loop.

Geostatitics 3D Variogram Map
Dear R Helpers
I'm investigation the geostatistics tools in R and have found the package 'gstat', which looks to be useful four two dimensional data. However, I usually deal with three dimensional information. I would like to compute a 3D variogram map using the variogram tool but cannot seem to get it to recognise the third (z) dimension
The data file reads ok and the spatial
