Problems exporting a PCI device to a domU...
Hi! I am trying to export a PCI device (an AVM Fritzcard PCI ISDN card...) to a domU but when starting my domU I am getting this error: "pciback pci-4-0: 22 Couldn''t locate PCI device (0000:00:06.0)! perhaps already in-use?" My system is running both debian etch in dom0 and domU... Below you can find (hopefully) all important information... Sincerely, Gaubatz Patrick

Natulius CD burner does not accept my 700Mb CD-R disks
When I try to burn anything to cd, I get a message to insert a CD large enough for my file (normally an ISO image). Doesn't matter if the iso image is a 600Mb Centos ISO or a 48Mb DSL ISO. Same warning. My CD-Rs are Memorex 700MB/80min 52x disks that work just fine on XP systems. So what am I missing configuration-wise?

ISO burning challenge -- pilgrims progress
First the Storix drive works just fine under DSL 4.2.1 on my Libretto. So the drive is fine, the media is fine. And cdrecord on DSL reports the media to be Manuf. index: 27 Manufacturee: Prodisc Technology Inc. I have all of ONE system with Centos 4 on it. A Trixbox 2.2; I added cdrecord and found that I could burn the iso image ONLY by including the -force option to get around the

Cutted audio or 2/3s blanks on EuroISDN - Asterisk1.4
Your Zap conf files would be helpful. Zttest results? Cat /proc/interrupts. Sharing interrupts? Any funky error in the logs? Samba + Bonding = Terrible Performance
Hello, Please CC replies I'm not subscribed. Performance with samba and only samba degrades terribly when we use the bonding driver to aggregate two ethernet cards. Instead of a steady file copy it seems to go in spurts. If I pull out one of the network cables (doesn't matter which) performance resumes to full speed. I can pull the cable in the middle of a transfer and it will go

[PATCH 00/10] FLASK updates: MSI interrupts, cleanups
This patch set adds XSM security labels to useful debugging output locations, and fixes some assumptions that all interrupts behaved like GSI interrupts (which had useful non-dynamic IDs). It also cleans up the policy build process and adds an example of how to use the user field in the security context. Debug output: [PATCH 01/10] xsm: Add security labels to event-channel dump [PATCH 02/10] xsm:

CentOS 5 ssloooowww when network unavailable
This is undoubtedly an upstream issue, but ... I've been messing about with that hp pavilion trying to get wireless working. If I boot with the eth0 NIC plugged in, everything is blazingly fast -- GDM comes up in a few seconds, the Gnome startup splash screen barely has time to appear before it's gone again, shells pop up the instant I click Open Terminal. If I unplug the network and

Repetitive Kernel oops (and two smaller questions)
I have an F7 host that''s running the 2.6.20-2925.11.fc7xen 64-bit kernel on a Dell 2950 using the latest 64-bit Xen packages in F7, 3.1.0-2.f7. I''m trying to install RHEL 5 386 as a guest which I hear is possible. 64-bit RHEL5 isn''t available to use anyway. When I try to paravirtualize the install and only utilize 1 CPU, I always get a kernel oops right before the

invalid opcode on Dom0
We have a (supposedly) quite standard setup: 2 Dom0 with drbd-on-lvm and a bunch of DomU, on Quad Xeon Dell servers. We tried with both sid-based and etch-based (+ 3.1 xen hypervisor and drbd 8 from backports.org ) Dom0, and quite consistently have "kernel: invalid opcode: 0000 [1] SMP" errors which freezes Dom0 (during lasts tests a simple start-and-stop loop of 10 DomU can trigger

xen on suse 9.3 and software raid
Has anyone had issues starting xen0 on a md? I have installed it a few times now w/ and w/o raid. Anytime I have a raid1 mirror, Xen panics on boot when trying to mount /. It gets past waiting for /dev/md0 to appear. John _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

Nasty kernel panic
I have seen the following kernel panic 5 times today on three different machines, two of which had been stable for months and one of which is a brand new install. We are running the x86_64 xen kernel and userland tools that came in the Xen 3.1.0 tarball from xen.org, on top of scientific linux (redhat clone) 5.1 or 5.2. <Aug/28 12:21 pm>Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at

a nasty kernel oops
Ladies and Gentlemen, I have been trying to sort out a nasty kernel oops for which I would like to ask for some advice. I don't actually think that this is a nut problem, although it is triggered by upsdrvctl or usbhid-ups. I rather suspect the USB library or the associated kernel code. Here is the configuration information: * system: Centos-5.5 * kernel: 2.6.18-194.32.1.el5, latest vanilla

[PATCH] xsm/flask: fix resource list range checks
The FLASK security checks for resource ranges were not implemented correctly - only the permissions on the endpoints of a range were checked, instead of all items contained in the range. This would allow certain resources (I/O ports, I/O memory) to be used by domains in contravention to security policy. This also corrects a bug where adding overlapping resource ranges did not trigger an error.
