DNS: Update not allowed for unsigned packet
DNS is suddenly not working properly for some machines. We had a bunch of machines that were joined to the domain, but the computer name was wrong. To fix this, we unjoined the machines and deleted the computer accounts out of Samba (because renames while joined will leave LDAP attributes with the previous machine name and there will be connectivity problems for some reason), and we deleted them

showrepl is showing a deleted connexion
Solved ! Thanks for the script. In my case, it was just too late. I have just found a ugly but working solution: From Configuration, Schema, Domaindnszones, forestdnszones and principal, I remove using ldbdel a "repsTo" binary object. No more trouble with drs showrepl :-) -----Message d'origine----- DeĀ : samba [mailto:samba-bounces at lists.samba.org] De la part de Stefan Kania

how to remove an (offline) DC from Samba 4 ?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA256 Hi all, What would be the recommended way to remove an old offline DC from Samba4? I searched in samba-tool for a way to do this, but didn't find any. Tried using the Windows tools to manage AD Users & Computers -> Domain Controllers -> The DC & then hit delete, however this gives an error 'cannot find specified module'.

Samba 4 Orphaned DC
Is there a list of commands for cleaning up orphaned DC's. I used ntdsutil on the Windows boxes no problem. Used an LDAP gui tool to remove the LDAP entries. Sadly Samba4 is still trying to contact the orphan. Any guidance or manual page would be appreciated. Cheers, TMS III
