Patch for optiups to support Zinto D from ONLINE USV-Systeme AG
Hi Arnaud,
Hi Scott,
Hi list,
Here is a patch to support the Zinto D from ONLINE USV-Systeme AG.
I already sent a version to Russell Kroll (2006-04-09), without no response
and I cannot find support for Zinto in svn until now.
I found a discussion on this list about the Xanto from ONLINE, but the Zinto
seems to use different commands.
The commands are quite similar to those for Opti-UPS, so I

an ideas for having additional parameters control UPS shutdown
Hi Greg,
I'm just forwarding your msg to the developers list for now, which is
the preferred address for posting.
I've completely missed it until today for that reason.
A proper answer will come later.
Also note that apart from Michal and myself, other developers you
tried to reach are now retired.
cheers,
Arno

snmp-ups hacking
Hi all!
I'm wondering if there's anyone doing any hacking on the snmp-ups
driver at the moment.
I've started looking at implementing 3phase-support, and this
uncovered some rather unpleasant stuff in the snmp-ups driver that I
really need to fix in order to get things sane.
Those of you that's allergic to SNMP might want to stop reading now,
this is rather icky ;)

OpenSSH/scp ->> F-Secure SSH server Problems
Hi,
Is there some know problem between the 'scp' client in OpenSSH 2.5.1p1 and
F-Secure's SSH 2.4.0 server? The client is running on a Linux (2.2.17) box
and server is running on Win2K. When I try to transfer files it asks me for
the password (which I provide) then it hangs. Using 'scp -v' didn't provide
any helpful info; it's as though the problem happened before

bcmxcp: Patch for cosmetic code changes
Hi
Here is a very minor patch for the bcmxcp.c driver, mainly fixing the
function name used in debug statement, and at the same time fix indentation.

[PATCH][RFC] OpenUPS driver
Hi all,
I attached a driver for MiniBox openUPS device (
http://www.mini-box.com/OpenUPS) and a dump of the hid usages.
I had the possibility to make a few adjustments to the device firmware for
HID usages, and although I haven't managed to produce a good structure
many issues from previous firmware were at least fixed and new information
added.
ATM the driver only shows pertaining

Bestfortress driver, network serial patch for nut-2.0
Best fortress support was understandably dropped, but we still use them,
and someone else may want the driver I ported to nut-2.0.
We also often attach the serial cable from a UPS to a network terminal
server, since servers these days don't come with very many serial ports.
(They call them "legacy" ports.) I submitted a patch to support these for
nut-1.x, and it was rejected

Proposed apcsmart driver patch
G'day y'all,
Here's a tiny patch set for drivers/apcsmart.c and drivers/apcsmart.h.
Adds APC SmartUPS 1250 ("8QD" case) + 940-0024C recognition to
apcsmart. (Unpatched apcsmart.c v1.99.8 misidentifies the SmartUPS
1250 as a "dumb" UPS.) For NUT 2.0.5+.
NUT 2.0.5: Patches apply successfully. Builds successfully. Works as
expected under Ubuntu 7.04.

Some questions on driver implementation and variable names
I've just written an NUT driver to manage a Masterguard UPS connected
via USB, and some questions arose.
Why I wrote a new driver? The servers in question only have two
serial ports, so I want to use USB. I first wrote the low-level USB
routines expecting to integrate them into the existing masterguard
driver. However, that driver was so rudimentary I wrote my own one.
It can be

blazer driver: Possible bugs with battery packs
Hello all,
long time away from this list, glad to be around again!
I have this Powercom Vanguard VGN VGD-20K31. Some details of this model:
* 3-phase input, single phase output
* Model has 240V / 12V9AH x 20 x 2SET, plus another set of 20 batteries.
All in all, 3 sets
* Serial connection to Windows 2k3 server with UPSMon
Now I was strongly considering replacing the bundled no-good upsmoon

gcc4 compiler warnings
Hi all!
The following files emits warnings when compiled with gcc 4.0:
al175.c
bcmxcp_ser.c
belkinunv.c
cyberpower.c
everups.c
powercom.c
solis.c
All warnings seem to be of this variety:
everups.c:38: warning: pointer targets in passing argument 2 of 'ser_get_char' differ in signedness
I suggest that those who fiddles with those drivers fixes the warnings
and verifies that it works

more on 2.0.3-pre
Gentlemen,
I have now had a chance to run some initial tests of my changes to
apc-hid.c of the current development tree. Running newhipups and
inspecting the -DDDD output seems to indicate that with the fix below
everything seems to work as expected. However, I have not yet shut
my system in order to take the UPS out of action so that I can do my
various tests with a lightbulb load. I still hope
