Definite app_jack trouble - unsolvable
Greetings! I now found someone to test gtalk with and found out, that app_jack has a problem here. My voice gets transmitted fine, but I only get white noise from the other party. I tried to set my JACK samplerate to 8000 to make sure it's no libresample problem, the results were the same. My setup is: Linux Debian Lenny Kernel: 2.6.30.4 PREEMPT (self-built) JACKd: jackd version

is there a way to insert 'description' for a relayed stream?
Hi, When icecast2-server is relaying a non-icecast feed, is there any way to add 'description' data to it? This is a minor quibble but I don't see a way around this. As my charts & discussion at Peercast.org's forum shows (pointed to in my earlier posts here), we had to put sc_serv at the 'hub' of the netcast feedpoint, mainly so we'd only encode once but

app_jack unavailable
Hello, I am new to Asterisk, so please bear with me. I have made a success installation from source of Asterisk 14.4.0 on Debian Jessie (8.7). And I am running the Asterisk server, with several extensions and dialplans, all working well. However I am struggling to get app_jack to run. In menuselect I can see that it is XXX due to dependencies on jack and resample, however both Debian packages:

systemctl (again)
It might be SELinux. On a standard system; when we run things as a user from the command line SELinux rules do not apply. It would explain why it works manually but not via systemd. Rather than using an init.d script you might want to try using a systemd service. I haven't tested but something like this should work. [Unit] Description=timidity daemon [Service] PIDFile=/var/run/timidity.pid

ext3 + pipes/sockets
Hi, I'm running jack+ardour and noticed the following: Jackd uses named pipes and sockets which are located on /tmp. If I mount /tmp as ext3 I get latency problems. When I mount /tmp as ext2 everything works fine. As far as I know named pipes and sockets have no disk interaction. What is the difference? Mick

Hello all, I want to stream multiple live programs. For that purpose the analog signal of radio program must be digitalized and encoded. I'm using RME HDSP 9652 (with 26 input channels) soundcard for capturing the sound. For encoding I'm using jackified version of ices (ices-kh) and JACK server to connect multiple ices processes to the soundcard. My operating system is Linux Mandrake

possible regression in wine1.2-rc7 - GUI and VSTs
hello, I have been using wine for quite a while, with many applications. mostly though, i am using wine for VST support via wineASIO. For the most part, this method works extremely well. many of the plugins i use work pretty much flawlessly. the only real exception is that occasionally the VST's GUI will cause an xrun in jackd. this hardly ever matters, as most of the time i am not using

Questions about the denoiser
Hello, I have been working with the denoiser in the Speex library and have a few questions. Some information before I get started: Speex version: 1.1.9 (as near as I could tell nothing new in the denoiser in cvs) Audio input: 32bit float - 48000 sample rate (the input starts from jackd) The first thing I am finding is that I can understand the audio in
