Error msg on shell trying to open WoW (Newb)
Hey everyone, I'll start off by saying I've never successfully made the transition to linux after trying 6 times. Something like this always happens, and I end up giving up and going back to windows; this time, however, I'm determined to win . [Laughing] I've already posted on the ubuntu forums about this issue, and they referred me here. I'll quote the issue so far. >

wow.exe Wont Run in Wine 1.2.1
Many months ago, my machine ran WoW 3.x flawlessly. Now however, with Linux, it wont run at all. I am using Wine 1.2.1 and WoW 4.0.1 installed fine with the downloader, and the launcher runs without a hitch (although the "play" button won't appear once in a while). But once the Launcher program attempts to run the wow.exe, I get nothing. No game, no error message. Here's my

Larousse Multilingue: stack overflow in exception handler ?
Hi all, I'm trying to run the Larousse Multilingue Dictionnary pack. I've tried to run it under wine 0.9.17 (from codeweaver), 0.9.25 (from debian testing) 0.9.28 (from debian unstable) and 0.9.29 (from source). My wine setting is functional since I can use an older Larousse dictionnary (Bibliorom), no problem at all for any of the versions above. I downloaded a (legal) version of the

Trying old multimedia app, get crash
I'm running an old Windows 98-era app created by an outfit called the Media Cafe. It's called "The Ring Disc" and is an interactive version of Wagner's Ring. I'm running Wine 1.3.23 on Mac OS X 10.6.8. The changes I made were to configure audio as CoreAudio, and to set the overall system to Windows 98 (and I tried ME as well). What I see is that the application starts

WoW: Wrath of the Lich King issue
I'm currently running Ubuntu 8.10 and Wine 1.15. WoW Installs fine, once I launch it the fun starts :) When I launch the game, it runs the intro video (normal for first launch after an install): after the video runs its course, or I skip it, it should prompt me to accept some EULA. Instead it crashes and exits with: Code: This application has encountered a critical error: ERROR #132
