Splinter Cell: Conviction crashes
Installed it on Ubuntu 10.04 64bit, latest nvidia drivers, wine 1.1.43. Used a no-cd crack and winetricks to install dx10 libraries.
When I try to run the game it crashes and this is the terminal output:

Splinter Cell Double Agent crash on start up
Hello,
I'm new to Wine but have just installed Splinter Cell Double agent. I can get the game to launch, but it crashes and displays a message saying Wine caused the crash. I've looked in the AppDB and have replaced one of the dll files it said to for the game...
Here's the Terminal code... any chance anyone knows how to get this working? Many thanks!

Can't get Splinter Cell Double Agent to run
Hey guys,
I just installed SCDA, and also installed directx9 with winetricks if it is needed for the game.
I have a laptop (ASUS F5SL AP104) with the following setup:
Intel Core 2 Duo T5750
3 GB RAM
AMD/ATI Mobility Radeon HD3470 (worst VGA ever used, but don't have better though)
Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex, wine-1.1.15, latest ati drivers

This is what I have so far:

Essentially, I want to use the raw3.df$CITIZEN along with another value to

Keeping Leading Zeros, Treating numbers as text
Hello,
I have a data set, with some numerical values, some non-numerical data, my
issue is that I need to preserve my ID numbers (numerics) with the leading
zeros, but when I import the data into R (it's in .csv format) using the
read.csv(" ") command, it turns all the ID numbers (Example: 00210) into
numbers, removing the leading zeros, so I end up with 210. I tried using the

ASPI problem
Having gotten WinOnCD to start (though the installer fails (*.msi
file)) by copying the files and registry from a windows install, I now
have an ASPI problem. I am able to erase a cdrw from within winoncd
and most of winoncd works pretty much as it should (but no drag'n drop
works). Writing a CD does however not work yet and it appears to be a
winaspi problem:

[PATCH] [IA64] Compilation fix to cpufreq stuff.
Currently xen-unstable.hg is broken on ia64 and it should be fixed
by Yu''s patch. However he is off this week, so I''m sending
the workaround patch.
[IA64] Compilation fix to cpufreq stuff.
This patch fixes the following compilation error by
defining stubs.
This patch is just band aid patch until those functions are implemented
later.

problem mapping large files?
Hi all,
I'm trying to use Microsoft's ImageX with Wine as part of a small Linux
image to install Windows disk images.
It works great for a 120Mb file, however when I try it on a 2.3Gb file,
it fails with "Invalid data".
The tool is designed for dealing with large files, so it looks like a
problem in Wine.
I reran it with +server,+relay which included the following in the

[PATCH 07/12] cpufreq: allocate CPU masks dynamically
struct cpufreq_policy, including a cpumask_t member, gets copied in
cpufreq_limit_change(), cpufreq_add_cpu(), set_cpufreq_gov(), and
set_cpufreq_para(). Make the member a cpumask_var_t, thus reducing the
amount of data needing copying (particularly with large NR_CPUS).

I thought you were saying it matters - as it should be done around the
same time as cpufreq drivers were loaded?
