ACD Distributed Scenario....
We need to make sure that all queue applications run on the correct system that the user agents that own the queue application are registered to. So when a server fails and the user agents register with their secondary server (which will always be configured to be the same server for those related agents) the queue application is running on that server and routed to correctly by it's peers.

Asterisk Queue Problem - Automatic Call Distribution
Hi all,
I am seeing a strange problem with Asterisk queue. I am not sure if it's my
configuration which is wrong or there's something with Asterisk.
I am using Asterisk 1.4.2 and i have a queue with one MGCP member. When i
tried to call the extension number directing to the queue, the MGCP phone is
not ringing. However, it is fine to call the MGCP phone directly. The
strange thing is

manager API / weird queue
Hi,
I'm playing with the agent/queue system. Everything work well with v1.0.3.
but I want the 'Action: Agents' in the manager API that is only on the CVS
version. So i switched to, but now the Queue/Agent system barely work. (my
agent don't get the call)
Where I can get a 'stable' CVS version?
Or maybe, how I can solve my Queue/Problem? here is the detail:
1. I can

asterisk queue cluster
I setup two asterisk servers with identical settings
(same extensions, same queues, etc). Each one is
connected to the same amount of incoming/outgoing
links (1 PRI, 4 BRI, 1 IAX friend, etc, on each box).
Most extensions are sip and they register via DNS SRV
and other methods so that the two servers are load
balanced. Incoming PSTN calls (BRI) reach 50% each
server so that's load balanced

callers in queue passed to agents who accept only one call at a time
I have a queue I configured as "strict" and a cron
script I use to QueueAdd and QueueRemove agents
according to my company's requirements. Usually I have
2 or 3 agents at a time and the ring strategy is
ringall.
These agents use non-open-source Windows softphones
that do not let you configure it so that if they're on
the phone, a second call will be rejected (agent
busy).

Priority between calls from different queues
Hi!
I want to know the way that calls are answer in this case...
I have queue1 and queue2, one agent that receive call from both queues.
queue1 <- call1
queue1 <- call2
queue2 <- call3
queue2 <- call4
In my test the agent answer calls in this order: call1,call3,call2 and
call4.
I think this must be in this order call1,call2, call3, call4 like a big
FIFO.
Its ok this behavior?

Cannot chain to another PXE server on the same subnet
Sorry for top-posting but my webmail forces me to.
I added -W to the APPEND line as suggested but I'm still getting the same result:
Booting...
Altiris, inc. X86PC PreBoot, PXE-2.x Enhanced
Build ID=402
PXEPreZero: Invalid PXE Server list format.
and the client PC freezes right there.
Here's the full content of my dhcp.conf:

Odd. It's been a while since I used Yahoo but I didn't think I had
that issue. GMail does default to top-posting but clicking the
ellipsis to look at the previous email is enough.

queue_log analysis
Hi,
I am running a call center based on Asterisk and building some statistics based on the queue_log file.
I have some doubts about it that maybe you could help (actually, maybe these doubts are suggestions for enhancements!):
1st Scenario - Agent receives the call, and puts it on parking for somebody else to pick it up.

Suppress MusicOnHold in Queue
I want callers to go into the queue(s) and just hear ringing instead of MOH.
Is this possible?
exten => 200,1,Ringing()
exten => 200,n,Queue(queue1|t|||15)
exten => 200,n,Queue(queue2|t|||15)
It looks to me like MOH is built-in to the queue, but if anybody knows
otherwise please speak up!

outbound caller ID
Hi,
I would like to know if one can set the outgoing
caller ID within Asterisk when calls are going out
through:
1) an analog POTS line (I suppose not)
2) a telco BRI line (I don't think so)
3) a telco PRI line (maybe)
4) a voip provider (surely)
Thanks,
Vieri

Re: Asterisk Queues
Hi,
Well, in our case, it seems that the issue was being caused by
announcements. That is, someone in QUEUE1 would be waiting 15
minutes.. and QUEUE2 would be waiting 5 minutes. The person in
QUEUE1 would be listening to 'we're sorry you are holding so long, if
you'd like to leave a message, press 1 now.. otherwise continue to
hold'... and while they were listening to that an

traffic distribution not happening in centos 6.5
Hi,
I am experimenting with libnetfilter_queue. libnetfilter_queue is a
userspace library providing an API to packets that have been queued by
the kernel packet filter.
I am using sample code(nfqnl_test.c) available on netfilter.org. I
have generated two binaries (queue0 and queue1) using that
nfqnl_test.c sample code.
These binaries are working as per expected behaviour in case of Centos

fail-over server
Hi,
Suppose you have 2 identical Asterisk servers and 1 alias IP address that you assign to either one, according to system failures, etc.
Also suppose that all SIP clients register requests go to the alias IP address.
Imagine server1 fails and server2 gets the alias IP address. Correct me if I'm wrong but I would have to wait at least 60 seconds before most SIP clients re-register to

Hi,
I have a Linux server at ip address 10.215.144.7 running DHCP, TFTP and syslinux.
DHCP config contains the following:

and the 'default' pxelinux.cfg contains:
