Further rgl()/spheres3d() query
Hi,
I am applying the following code to map pca loadings onto a 3d grid, my
problem is this - the output only plots the spheres in the requested color
(in this case "red") for the first argument. The sphere from the second
argument appear as flat dark circles. Also the text3d() command only seems
to work for a couple of the positions, with no text added in most cases.
Could anyone offer

movie3d function in the rgl package
Dear list,
I'm using the function "movie3d" in the package "rgl" to create a .gif
animation of a 3d graphic. The program "ImageMagik" is working
properly, R packages are working, basic examples available in the
manual also working fine.
Problem Solved: when I tried to create more complex movies, i.e.
combining different views and zooming, the R-console crashed

Call Parking is slow with park orbit on Snom 3xx / 360
Hi List,
I have a client who is using park heavily, but once we hit the cal button
(in this a hotkey tied to park orbit on the Snom's), we have a 3 second
delay before we here the digit the call is parked on. Is their anyway around
this at all? Does anyone know if we have these same delays if using the DTMF
digits?
Any suggestions would be great!
Thanks!

rgl package and animation
I am trying to figure out how to use rgl package for animation. It
appears that this is done using the play3d() function. Below I have
some sample code that plots a 3D path and puts a sphere at the point
farthest from the origin (which in this case also appears to be at the
end of the path). What I would like to do is animate the movement of
another sphere along the length of the path

rgl: How to position a window during open3d call
Dear all,
The documentation on the function open3d in the rgl package, reads:
open3d opens a new rgl device, and sets the parameters as requested.
I want the new rgl device (window) to be sized and positioned in a specific
place on my screen. So, I try to set the "windowRect" parameter as follows:
> library("rgl")
> open3d(windowRect=c(100,100,500,500))

ImageMagick not seen by movie3d function from rgl package
Hello R-users,
I have downloaded and installed a binary version for Windows OS of ImageMagick (ImageMagick6.5.6-10-q16-windows-dll.exe), I have installed the rgl package and i've tried running the following example from ?movie3d()
library(rgl)
open3d()
plot3d( cube3d(col="green") )
M <- par3d("userMatrix")
play3d( par3dinterp( userMatrix=list(M,

gnome support failure (libglade error on debian)
Hi,
I'm running debian - upgraded fully to potato at the start of the
freeze and added latest libgnome-dev before configuring.
I tried compiling with gnome support with
/usr/local/R/R-0.99.0/configure --with-gnome
and got the following output:
checking for gnome-config... /usr/bin/gnome-config
checking if /usr/bin/gnome-config works... yes

rgl: insert pauses in animation sequence / movie formats other than gif?
Two questions related to creating animated movies with rgl:
1. I've created an rgl scene with 5 different views I want to display in
a movie, but I'd like to insert pauses (say, 5 seconds)
at each view. How can I do this?
I first created 5 userMatrix's, then
play3d( par3dinterp( userMatrix=list(M1, M2, M3, M4, M5)),
,duration=2*60/5) )
then tried simply repeating each twice,

play3d() translation
Hi All,
I would like to be able to use play3d() to translate the view along a
surface, and zoom in and out. All the examples in play3d() function
description are of rotations.
I would also like to know if there is a method of creating a legend of for
the 3d surface using rgl package.
Thanks in advance.

two plots side-by-side with persp3d(rgl)
Dear R-users,
I would like to place two 3D plots side-by-side in a rgl-setting. It would nice to have something like "par(mfrow=c(1,2))" for basic plots, or an array framework for wireframe(lattice) (see example below). I only managed to overlap two persp3d plots.
My final idea would be to animate both surfaces using play3d(rgl).
Thanks in advance for any help.
Best,
Carlo Giovanni

suid files and bsd
Currently I only have one machine backing up to another. I am

works perfectly except it fails on files that are suid.

Sync browse list between multiple workgroups?
(Samba version 1.9.18p4)
I want to set up my environment thusly:
- 2 workgroups, each composed of multiple subnets.
- Each workgroup has a DMB and a WINS server (Samba only - no NT)
- The two workgroups should collate browse lists so that clients on
either workgroup can browse and connect to hosts on the opposite workgroup.
I've read the documentation in BROWSING.txt and it does not appear

advice on arguments
I have a general style question about R coding.
Suppose I'm writing a function (foo1) that calls other functions
(foo2, foo3, ...) which have complicated argument
lists (e.g. optim(), plot()), _and_
I may be calling several different functions in the body of
foo1. Since foo2 and foo3 have different sets of arguments, I
can't just use "..." ; I did write some code a while ago

Error starting Virtual Machine Manager: Failed to contact configuration server
I just updated and rebooted a VM host server which
runs CentOS 6.5/x86_64. After rebooting, I can't start the

Snom 200 Programmable Keys
I would like to use one of my Snom 200's 5 programmable keys to park

combinations and have come to the conclusion that:
1) On the Key Mappings administration page, I must select the "Transfer"
under the "Break Keys" option box to be able to successfully transfer
calls using the "Transfer" button.

Ah. Yes, that would explain it... does this mean that I can rely on all
the intrinsics listed existing for the common types (int, float,
double)? Or should I be trying to follow the libc call route?
I've noticed that llc is successfully
