WHO Anthro growth curve macros and R
Hi all,
I've got a project where I have to calculate weight-for-age Z-scores,
preferably using the WHO standards.
WHO have been very nice to publish macros for doing this in both
STATA,SPSS, SAS and Splus formats
(see http://www.who.int/childgrowth/software/en/), but for some reason
have chosen not to use the free R alternative to Splus.
In the Splus zipfile there are nine datafiles with a

Fwd: WHO Anthro growth curve macros and R
Hi all,
some years ago, I sent a question to the mailing list regarding the WHO
anthro macros. Since I've now received three mails asking how I solved it, I
thought I'd cc R-help in for future reference. Attaching a zip file
with the relevant code parts that
I used that I'm not sure gets through (if anyone has recommendations on how
to manage such files for the list, I'd be

plotting survival curves with model parameters
Hello.
I am trying to write an R function to plot the survival function (and
associated hazard and density) for a Siler competing hazards model.
This model is similar to the Gompertz-Makeham, with the addition of a
juvenile component that includes two parameters---one that describes
the initial infant mortality rate, and a negative exponential that
describes typical mortality decline over the

Create a time interval from a single time variable
I am trying to set up a data set for a survival analysis with time-varying covariates. The data is already in a long format, but does not have a variable to signify the stopping point for the interval. The variable DaysEnrolled is the variable I would like to use to form this interval. This is what I have now:

testing difference (or similarities) between two distance matrices (not independent)
Hi,
i'm looking to test if two distance matrices are statistically
different from each others.
These two matrices have been computed on the same set of data (several
population samples)
1. using a particular genetic distance
2. weighting that genetic distance with an extra factor
(we can look at this as one set is computed before applying a
treatment and the second one after applying

Power analysis for repeated measures ANCOVA
Dear All,
I wonder if anyone has written a code for power analysis with repeated
measures ANCOVA? I am aware of the following reference:

It will probably be fairly easy to code this up

Using rsync for two-waz-synchronisation
Hello,
is there any way to use rsync for two-way-syncronisation? I want to use
it to keep the data on two hosts consistent. Sometimes one of this hosts
(sometimes the first, sometimes the second) changes its location.
If the two hosts are at the same location I want automatically rsync them.
The data only changes at one hosts but it is not defined on which host
it changes.
For example:

mount fallback 0 || no streams found
nope ... no effect. didn't work. if the mount fallback is set to zero,
still won't find the mount points.
I changed hostname to the box's ip and under server_name I put the
box's name and domain. then I used force_servername 1.
till not working. this is really bizarre. I thought it would be
easier than this to get multiple streams going, which I want.
If I have multiple

mount fallback 0 || no streams found
hello,
I'm doing something wrong here, but I can't find what I need to do
right.
If I set the mount fallback to "0", no stream is found eventhough
there maybe one or even two sources in icecast.
What do I need to set/add so I don't need the mount fallback?
Using:
ices-0.2.2
icecast 1.3.11
on 2.4.9
thanks,
t.

mount fallback 0 || no streams found
are you attempting to do this locally, with your machine behind a firewall?
I had something similar happen, I had a High and Lo stream, and specifying
/HI or /Lo or (nothing) externally worked fine -- internally, no dice.

S3, S4, namespace
I have encountered an issue which I have been unable to resolve, involving
an S3 generic (print) being declared S4 generic in a package, and the method
being exported. This all works fine - the problem occurs when I try to
import the method to another package.
Here is the bit that works fine. -------------

solaris success??
Has anyone been successful getting an icecast webcast going under
Solaris? I have tried several times using different versions of
icecast, ices, shout and solaris, but have never been able to get it
working without seg. faults, or glitching, or other problems.

hello,
I work since a few time on R and i wanted to know how to obtain the Wald chi
square value when you make a binary logistic regression. In fact, i have the z
value and the signification but is there a script to see what is the value of
Wald chi square. You can see my model below,

1. The voice mail messages arrive in the mailboxes but when I play them
back, the IVR tells the time and date of the message but never plays it. It
is as if it skips it.
2. Asterisk never seems to send the voice mail as an attachment!!
Please see below my config files:
