Issue installing Centos server on Vmware Fusion/Server
Hi All,
I've had issues over the last few days trying to create a Centos server
image . I've tried with Vmware fusion and Vmware server and it skips
directly to the default desktop install and doesn't give me the option to
run the linux server. I am not sure if you've seen this earlier. I've tried
with Centos 5.8 and 6.0 but the installer seems to work in that manner .

sshd 7.8p1 close connection from VMware Fusion NAT Port Forwarding
After upgrading my VMware Fusion (10.1.3) Arch Guest to the latest with
OpenSSH upgraded from 7.7p1 to 7.8p1, found that ssh from macOS Sierra
(10.12.6) host to Arch guest via local NAT port forwarding failed, but via
Arch LAN IP worked, downgraded OpenSSH from 7.8p1 to 7.7p1 fixed the
problem.
Any idea about this bug?

Networking issues with OpenSolaris/Dom0 or VMware Fusion
Hi:
I got OpenSolaris 2008.05 running as dom0 under VmWare fusion
on my MacBook pro. Using the instructions from Dipleep''s blog
http://blogs.sun.com/dkumar/entry/how_to_create_domu_in
Everything seems okay except the networking. When booting
OpenSolaris (without dom0) the pcn0 interface works just fine but
when booting Solaris xVM version them pcn0 does not work (ie)

CentOS 5.1 guide for VMware Fusion
Hello all,
I recently created a VM running CentOS 5.1 x86-64 for development
purposes. Along the way, I found a number of fixes to various issues
one can experience under VMware and decided to turn my documentation
into a general guide that others might benefit from. I have not found
any guides for VMware Fusion on OS X, so I figured it is a worthwhile
endeavor. It is likely that most or all of

CentOS 5.3 in VMWare Fusion
Hi All,
I am trying to run CentOS 5.3-x86_64 in a Vmware Fusion virtual
machine on my Mac Pri (10.5.6)
My install starts OK, checks media and then I get a message saying
"The CentOS CD was not found in any of your CDROM drives. Please
insert the CentOS CD and press OK to retry".
I have booted from the media though, so I don't understand...
Any thoughts?

[LLVMdev] loop fusion in LLVM
Hi,
I am a student and my team is trying to identify a suitable topic for our
compiler class final project. The requirement is to implement some
optimization in LLVM that is not already existed, at least not in the list
of standard opt that LLVM already has. We are looking at loop fusion as a
potential candidate topic. Since we are all new to LLVM we would like to
ask for experts' opinions

[LLVMdev] loop fusion
Andrew,
There is not any transformation in LLVM that does loop fusion. I do not of anyone who is working on this. If you're interested to work on it then it'd be great!

Hi Devang,
Do you know if any pass is taking metadata to avoid un-optimizing?
Loop fusion can make it worse if you have strong

is anybody successfully using CentOS 6.4

I have tried moving a CentOS 6.4 VM from

[LLVMdev] loop fusion in LLVM
Hi Qi,
No, we don’t have loop fusion. The loop fusion transformation itself is easy, but the profitability and legality checks are challenging. For legality, you would need to analyze the memory that you access and figure out that it is legal to fuse the loops. For profitability you would need to predict the effect on performance. You would need to predict register pressure and resource

No shutdown option in KDE with Compiz-Fusion
I have installed Compiz-Fusion on several Ubuntu machines, all
different hardware, with KDE. In all of them, the option to shutdown
or reset the computer is absent from the KDE logout buttons when
running Compiz-Fusion. I have searched google and see that others have
this problem, but I do not see a solution. Is there a known solution
to this condition?
Thanks in advance.

Implement Loop Fusion Pass
Hi all,
I have created a patch (up for review at: http://reviews.llvm.org/D17386)
that does Loop Fusion implementation.
Approach:
Legality: Currently it can fuse two adjacent loops whose iteration spaces
are same and are at same depth.
Dependence legality: Currently, dependence legality cannot be checked
across loops. Hence the loops are cloned along a versioned path,
unconditionally fused

Cannot login after modification shadow file with guestmount
Hi.
I have a VM with CentOs6.2 on KVM. I mount an image of the VM when it's
not working with guestmount:
root at diehard:~# guestmount -a named-centos.img -i tmp
vi /etc/shadow
insert comment line into the file (esc yy p 0 i # esc :wq!), save changes,
unmount the image, turn on the VM, and I cannot login.
I cannot login even if I recover the shadow file.
