How to bind 2 WAN 1 LAN ?
You need a combination of iptables and iproute2 to do what you want = because routing is based on it's DESTINATION address and you need to route on = your SOURCE address so it uses a different route depending on which source = IP is in the packet.. Refer to this page which is sort of what you want BUT not exact. It'll = give you some ideas...

defining directly to the wan/lan
I have a fedora system configured and running with virsh using kvm/qemu. All I want is to have a fixed ipaddress for that virtual machine. I know that there is the Host and Guest sides to the network. The host has virbr0 interface, which i guess is a bridge. Seem when ever I define a interface to the guest with a type=routed it hoses my other interfaces on the host and requires a console reboot --

(OT:) Tool for trying/troubleshooting WAN/LAN
Hi folks! This is sort of OT but I thought maybe someone had a tip for me. What I'm looking for is a tool that I can install on two computer for example, put one on each side of the customers WAN and "try" the connection - simulalate x calls (using codec xxx) and get statistics out of it (delays, jitter, dropped packets and that sort of things). I have looked at ethertap (to debug

connect a LAN server to a WAN server as a sip client
hello I have a asterisk server on WAN, and one server on LAN. And now there are some users on the LAN server. Users on the LAN server need to make phone calls to PSTN through the WAN server. Now on WAN server, there is a user account for the LAN server to register, and it's an account with multiple ports.(So more than one users on the LAN server can make phone calls through the WAN server at

VPN Single Daemon For LAN/WAN
Guus: Ok, I accept your challenge. But I am clueless in terms of getting the routing table correct. So each server has a dual identity, both a LAN private identity with a PRIVATE IP address and a WAN public identify with a PUBLIC ip address. And how to have 2 different tun devices show up in the ifconfig -a so that LAN IP address can be assigned to the tun0 and a WAN IP address can be assigned

Issue calling from WAN to LAN extension
Hi, I have a weird issue that I hope someone can help me with. I have 2 test computers and I've changed each the roles of each one with the same results. I have one xlite client running across a VPN and another connecting directly from the WAN via the external IP. The client connecting directly to the external IP can call the client running across the VPN no problem. However, the client

how is Samba 3.x advertising itself to Windows clients across LAN, WAN ?
We recently installed Samba 3.x server on Linux system (RHEL 3.0, using stock RH samba packages). We are observing following messages in logs: lib/access.c:check_access(328) and access is denied. I know why we get access denied: we have restricted "hosts allow =" setting. My question is: why are we getting connection requests in first place? I think something is advertising this

Polycom SIP Phones On LAN can't register without WAN (Internet) Access
We are having an issue that I have been unable to figure out how to resolve. I think its related to the Polycom Phones and not the Asterisk configuration, but I'm not positive. We have several Polycom 500/501/601's on both a LAN and at employee homes. The problem we are having is if our internet connection goes down the Local LAN phones loose their connection to the Asterisk Server.

Multiple WAN + Multiple LAN + linux-igd
Hi, I''m implementing a linux router with this characteristics: - Multiple adsl with each public ip''s - Multiple LAN ethernets (in a bridge). - Linux IGD I have successfully implemented de 2 first steps, the adsl balanced fine (multipath routing), and the clients bridge fine. My problem is how to use that with linux-igd. My LAN bridge has STP and is implemented for

Limit MOH processes
You could try to use the native mp3 support for MOH if you really want mp3 support. It is a lot better than using mpg123 IMHO. mpg123 kept doing nasty things to my system :) See http://www.voip-info.org/tiki-index.php?page=Asterisk%20config%20musicon hold.conf there is a section about the native support. [Bridge] LAN-WAN Bridging Problem
Hello, I am experiencing what may be a unique problem with operating the bridge. My hardware is custom Freescale MPC875 processor based with one ethernet (eth0) and one hdlc (hdlc0) WAN port and I am connecting two of these boards together using the WAN ports over a long distance - essentially two bridges in series. They are running Linux 2.6.15 with bridging enabled in the kernel

VPN Single Daemon For LAN/WAN
Gus: I guess my primary point of confusion is that the non-vpn LAN ip addresses are duplicated in each cluster. So within a cluster, the LAN addresses are unique. But when you look at 2 clusters, 2 different servers share the 10.99.0.11 address. So that is why I created a VPN for inside the cluster on the LAN interfaces using the private 10.0.1.xx range. THen, I created a separate VPN on the

Tuning the performance of Samba over LAN network to improve I/O performance
Hello friends, I am trying to test NAS I/O performance over a network and trying to see the numbers for write and read speed. I have successfully configured and ran a lot of tests. However the numbers have not increased, I have reached a bottleneck. I tried playing around with the smb.conf file including all possible variations like, socket options = TCP_NODELAY SO_RCVBUF=(tried values like
