Troubleshooting Samba 4 make test errors due to failure to set uid
To whom it may concern: I am attempting to migrate a Samba 3 PDC to Samba 4. Before committing to the migration, I'm attempting to get a fresh Samba 4 PDC configured and installed for a temporary domain running on virtual machines. For this temp domain, the Samba server and all its clients will be virtualized. However, before I even get to the stage where I can begin configuring the clients,

jbd/kjournald oops on 2.6.30.1
Hi, I am getting the following Oops on 2.6.30.1 kernel. The bad part is, it happens rarely (twice in last 1.5 months) and the system is pretty lightly loaded when this happens (no heavy file/disk io). Any insights or patches that I can try? (i searched lkml and ext3 lists but could not find any similar oops/reports). == Oops =================== BUG: unable to handle kernel NULL pointer

Extract of smb.conf : valid users (S) This is a list of users that should be allowed to login to this service. Names starting with '@', '+' and '&' are interpreted using the same rules as described in the invalid users parameter. If this is empty (the default) then any user can login. If a username is in both this list and the invalid

Data too big for a specific library package to handle
I know there are ways around the 'can't allocate a vector of size x GB' errors, but I'm stumped.? So my raw data has >7 million rows and eight columns. That's not a problem itself. Using the confreq package (for configural frequency analysis), I take my data and run it through the package's dat2fre function. This converts to a class called 'Pfreq.' ?(Looks like a

Dovecot dies, maybe ntpdate related. I'm new to dovecot
Hi all, my first post. After years with an old server, a couple of months ago I've installed a new one. We use IMAP. After research, I chosed dovecot. It has been running for several weeks but from one week ago or so, it suddently dies about once per day. The only change done in the server one week ago has been to install ntpdate, running once per day in cron-daily. In the cron

[LLVMdev] [PATCH] Support for ARM Run-Time ABI (FP and Integer helper functions)
I wrote that loop. :-) So now the differences between this patch and the one I had been sitting on are: * We have opposite condition codes in our FP comparisons. * This patch has integer division, which seems like a good thing, but wasn't needed for my A9 target. Are you sure about the comparisons? deep On Tue, Sep 28, 2010 at 9:11 AM, Evzen Muller <evzen.muller at arm.com> wrote:

RNG R/Splus compatibility
Starting with example Wichmann-Hill code from Brian Ripley I have been playing with a set of programs for getting the same random sequences from R and Splus. A copy is included below along with a test (which works in Solaris with R and Splus 3.3). The approach is somewhat different from the usual problems on this list as I am trying to get the same results from Splus as I get from R. However,

ices not quite random
Hello, I just got iceast + ices setup. I'm streaming from a playlist and it streams/play just fine, however, it doesn't seem to be that random. It is randomly picking through the first "grou" but not the rest. e.g. the playlist.txt file has full paths to the ogg files, which are in different subdirectories according to artist. But, it will only play from the first artist. Any

reproducing Box-Muller numbers
There seems to be a minor problem with reproducing numbers from rnorm with Box-Muller. The pattern suggests it might have something to do with the value that gets dropped when an odd number of numbers is requested. (Details below.) Also, could "user-supplied" be added as an option for normal.kind in RNGkind. I'm sure the Box-Muller in R is better than my own attempt, but I would

storage of lm objects in a database
Hello, I'd like to use DBI to store lm objects in a database. I've to analyze many of linear models and I cannot store them in a single R-session (not enough memory). Also it'd be nice to have them persistent. Maybe it's possible to create a compact binary representation of the object (the kind of format created created by "save"), so that one doesn't need to write
