I'm staring at Wireshark output to try to see why one user can read a
particular cookie file from one machine, but the same user cannot read
it from a different machine.
I see:

RPC error logging in to PDC on Win-64
I've upgraded one of my client boxes to Windows 64 bit edition but now it cannot login to the Samba PDC, instead it gives a RPC error after entering the password. The Win32 boxes can still login fine.
I can get accounts without admin rights to login but those with the rights are given a message stating "The system cannot log you on due to the following error:

enable client to join domain with no or any password?
I am trying to automate W7 joining to our Samba domain. It works fine
through the Windows GUI from the W7 workstations. However, for a script
one would have to store password used for domain access, and since that
is the server's root password, I really don't want to hard code that
into a file.
Is there a way to set (temporarily) a Samba server so that it will
accept (admin/anything) as

Hello Rolawnd, I followed the wikipage exactly. Bind9 is installed on the Samba DC.
The Linux-Client should be a member of the Active Directory-domain?

Browsing problem with XP Media Center Edition
Hi all!
I've got a samba-3.0.14a-2 running on a single subnet. It has been my
WINS server for a long time and has done well, until now. The dhcp
server on the subnet is telling all clients to use the file server as
WINS but when one of the employees here plugs in his XP Media Center
Edition, browsing is failing. It's failing by only showing the file
server, the XP MCE and eventually the

kphone fails to register with asterisk (sip)
hi all
when starting kphone, it tries to register with asterisk but fails after a
while. The SIP entry in * for this user is below. This is identical to the
other SIP entries. The other SIP clients are MSN messenger plus one snom.

Cleartext pre-authentication before going to secure mode.
Hi
This is a feature request.
1) Make sshd to ignore garbage that may appear before ssh identification
string is received. Such "garbage" may be for example telnet negotiation
codes. This should be pretty easy task.
2) Make ssh to work in cleartext mode (and have minimum telnet negotiation
handling) before it receives ssh identification string. This requires

bind9 and isc-dhcp-Server for dynamic DNS-updates Error
Hi Rowland, I have not another dhcp server. dnsmasq is not configured.
I think the problem may be permissions. Which distribution linux do you use, Ubuntu?
I was tracing the script code dhcp-dyndns.sh, when the execution on the first line fails
Is correct this instructions in Debian:
chown root:root /etc/dhcp/dhcpduser.keytab
chmod 400 /etc/dhcp/dhcpduser.keytab
