Mapping HPUX to Windows Shared Directories
I need to know what the command would be to map an HPUX directory to a Windows shared directory.
I am running Samba 3.0.7 on HPUX 11i and have Windows Server 2003.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

RE: INFORMAZIONE
Hi,
Best you discuss this with your HP support people - cifsmount is a part of
the CIFSCLIENT software (based on Sharity client), NOT samba.
Sorry,

IO Wait problem on a patched samba
Hi all,
Here is the context. We are running Samba in a DCE/DFS environnement on
AIX box (4.3.3 and 5.2). We've patched the Samba source to support this
environnement (although, we didn't created the patch, someone working
for IBM US dit it). We are using Samba 2.2.7b and 2.2.8a.
We have a lot of Samba connections (400-600 shares everytime, 24 hours
per day). We were running with only

Samba locks with PC crash
We are experiencing this current problem: some users are locking Lotus Notes
files on a Samba share. When their pc crash (ex: power off the pc without
shutting down windows), the file is still locked. So when they boot up a few
mins after the crash, they can't open Lotus Notes because some files are still
locked by themself. So we need to kill the samba process. This is happening a

how to deactivate an active network with virsh? (and what is that anyway)
virsh provides
net-start <netname-or-id>
to activate an inactive network.
Does virsh provide any way to do the exact converse? deactivate an active network without destroying, undefining, removing, ...
Also - I am curious - what does activate actually do? What change in state of anything occurs?
( I read the document at http://libvirt.org/formatnetwork.html which

Session IDs
v2.1.2 added support for "session IDs", which is a 9 year unique identifier for that specific IMAP/POP3 connection. Initially I thought it would only be useful for tracking connections going through Dovecot proxies to backends (the session ID is forwarded), but then I thought it could be useful for everyone if auth process also logs the session ID. So I thought for v2.1.6 I'd change

Share lock between server
Hi,
I would like to know if it is possible to share lock between two network
dispatched samba server.
ex: we have a cname named "samba", which dispatch connection on samba01
and samba02. But if a user open a Microsoft Word file on samba01, I
don't want someone connected on samba02 to be able to make change on it
at the same time.
thanx
