pjsip direct_media=yes and "unknown" endpoints
I'm trying to implement direct_media between multiple peers and an uplink provider, all of whom have direct_media=yes configures. For originating calls to the uplink provider direct_media=yes works like expected. SIP flows through asterisk, rtp doesn't SIP: enduser <-> SBC <-> asterisk 13 <-> uplink RTP: enduser <-> SBC <-----------------> uplink SBC

high load printing with 3.2.15
Hi, I am still struggling with the printing in a AD2008 R2 environment I changed to 3.2.15 by now. Still very slow, I am running on solaris 10. Not sure if my clients are so chatty by now but it is really killing any performance. Using truss I see loads of: 19702: fcntl(17, F_SETLKW64, 0xFFBFE640) = 0 19702: fcntl(17, F_SETLKW64, 0xFFBFE150) = 0 19702: fcntl(17,

RFE: please include quota waning patch
hi, it'd be very useful to include the quota warning patch in official release. without it the quota support is not really useful since mail simple dropped when quota is over. and most enduser never know what happend, they just recognize mails are not coming:-( thanks. -- Levente "Si vis pacem para bellum!"

Path to config files in manpages
Hi, I just noticed that the path to some config files in the manpages get's replaced during the build of the debian package with the pathes which are used during the build. This is not good, since the path will not be the same for the enduser, who installs the deb. Is it intented that the pathes in the manpage get generated during compilation and should I know generate a script for debian to

one extension goes straight to voicemail, others don't
i have one extension going straight to voicemail, while others that are configured identically don't, so i don't think it's an overall config problem. nor do i think it's a callerID problem. maybe it's an enduser operation that i can't find documentation on? che*CLI> -- Starting simple switch on 'Zap/48-1' -- Executing Macro("Zap/48-1",

Asterisk user guide ..
Is there any such thing is a userguide for asterisk from an enduser point of view ie. what to do to transfer a call etc ? I've looked through all the official documentation and nothing exists, and trying to install an ASterisk at a client can't even explain how to transfer a call to another extension! Even some basic help would be welcome! cheers Dave

nmbd-daemon fails on startup without error
Hi guys, I got a weird problem over here and couldn't find any solution in several days searching. Reproducible Printer Properties PANIC in Samba 3.0.22-25 (CIFS/9000 A2.03.01)
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Good day all, I am running CIFS/9000 (which is based on Samba 3.0.22 with, I'm guessing, security and serious bug fixes through 3.0.25 -- it's not all that clear), and running all of this on an HP-UX 11.11 PA-RISC server. The problem I have is when I do a right-click on a mapped printer and ask for the properties, my connected daemon

NMI SERR interrupts in dom0
I have an Intel e1000e NIC which I put into passthrough for an HVM domain under Xen 4.2. All the corresponding hardware protections are enabled on my system (DMA + Interrupt remapping), however, once in a while I get a SERR NMI in dom0 (NMI - PCI sys error (SERR) in xl dmesg). I am wondering about its exact reason. I am thinking in the following way: [+] Under Intel VT-x, interrupts are

But if you think it helps, I can compile gcc 4.1 and give it a shot. >> Compile flags: >> DEFINES +=

Performance issue on AIX when deleting files in a directory with a large number of files
Server: - AIX5.3 with JFS2 file systems - IBM pSeries 520 (1.9GHz p5+ CPU) - Samba 3.0.22 (and the same problem exists in 3.0.21a) - I tested Samba compiled from sources with GCC 4.0.2 and 3.4.3 same result for both. I also downloaded the AIX binary from http://us4.samba.org/samba/ftp/Binary_Packages/AIX/ and it has the same problem as well. Client: MS Windows XP SP2 We have an application that

[LLVMdev] win32 assemblers and linkers for llvm
Yes, you are right. During my testings, I tried the llvm produced .S files with the gcc frontend and it compiled and linked them to the final executable. The problem is with the gcc and binutils licence. This is GPL and while this is ok for open source or for academic purposes, it can't be used on commercial projects. In fact one of the strong points of llvm (and clang) is its BSD like

DTrace vs truss
G''Day Folks, I''ve finally typed up my classic DTrace demo, which I use to introduce people to DTrace (I delivered this at SOSUG#1), http://www.brendangregg.com/DTrace/dtracevstruss.html Here I create a fault and show the difficulty in analysing it using previous tools. Then I compare the impact of analysing the problem using both DTrace and truss. DTrace wins (a lot!).
