Help: TS login authenticating using Machine name of TS instead of user.
Hi All,
I've had Samba 3.4.7 setup as a fileserver connected to a Win2K3
domain controller working great for a while now. Roaming profiles work
perfectly when logging in from the machines locally. However when I try
and login to a WinXP or 2K3 machine via an RDP session (Terminal
Services) it is unable to locate the profile. I bumped the logging up
and still saw no reason why. When

vbscript in wine
Hi there,
I'm having an issue with vbscript in wine. It relates to a problem with
the cardbox database client which you can see here:
http://www.cardbox.com/wine.htm
I get the Cardbox error message and pressing OK will return me to the
Cardbox window, indicating vbscript is not installed. First I just ran
the installer which I found here:

samba 4.2 RDP problem
Hi Carsten,
Until yesterday I had the same issue. In thread titled "[Samba] samba 4.2
RDP problem (solved)" there are some proposal to solve this issue but
trying them I was able to connect through RDP but RSAT tools weren't
working anymore.
This was solved using the following smb.conf. In bold the two lines added
which solved this issue. Now RSAT and RDP are working well here.

DC on CentOS6.5, RDP to win7/8 issue
Hi,
We have installed samba4 on 64-bit CentOS6.5 and joined all our office
Win7/8 Pro desktops to that domain. We also have several Linux machines
(CentOS) in the office. All of them authenticate to the samba just fine.
Version of samba we have:
# /usr/local/samba/sbin/samba -V
Version 4.2.0pre1-GIT-60db710
However, when I try to do Remote Desktop from one Windows machine to
another, it works

Hi Mathias
I can confirm that this fixed the RDP issue for me whilst not breaking
share authentication. I'm still a bit wary of what other affects these
configuration options might have though.
Thanks

There's not much to it. It's the remote desktop protocol that you use to
access Windows servers. On Windows you open port 3387 or allow RDP in some
other way. (I do almost no Windows, so I

Persistent event 4625 on RDP login
Good day all,
About a month ago I was installing Java 8u341 on a workstation attached to
a Samba AD domain, using my usual domain administrator account via RDP. I
also let Windows install some already downloaded updates, then I rebooted.
On reboot, I could no longer log in with an existing non-administrator
domain account authorized for RDP. Machine local accounts (admin) could now
login

I'm trying to set up Samba as a PDC for some Win7 clients, and could use
some help. I can successfully join the domain, with the message "Changing
the primary domain DNS name of this computer to "" failed.", but I am still
told that it was successful.
However, when I try to log in, I am told "The trust relationship between
