Can not connect to printer from Vista 64 - error 0x000006f7
Hello.
I have a problem connecting to a printer via Samba from Vista 64-bit.
Samba is configured to use printers from CUPS. When I try to connect to
a printer I get a error message saying "Windows cannot connect to the
printer. Operation could not be completed (error 0x000006f7)".
I have managed to upload both 32 and 64-bit printer drivers from a
Windows client. Connection and

legend problem
Dear R users,
I have been plotting several graphics in only one page. I intend to plot
only one legend in each page.
Since the graphics are inside a loop I have to do it automatically.
The main problem is that inside the loop I work with differente types of
variables, I mean , the range is different for each one.
I have already tried :
par(xpd=TRUE)
pos<-par("usr")

Cannot seem to get printer driver delivery working from Vista 64 bit systems - Samba 3.0.25b
Version: Samba 3.0.25b
OS: CentOS 5 x86_64
I've had printer driver delivery working OK to 32 bit clients for a while. I
used cupsaddsmb to set that up originally.
We recently added some 64 bit Vista client machines (yay).
I created an x64 directory on the print$ share and followed the Samba HowTo
instructions for finding and uploading a printer driver. The files are from

Cox regression for prevalence estimates
Hello, I'm an MD working in an eye clinic. I'm learning by myself to use R
for use in my research works and for implementation in a software project.
There are some authors who recomends the use of Cox regression as a
substitute for Logistic regression (<a

Output Graphics GIF
Dear R users,
How could I managed graphics in GIF format? What I have been doing is
graphics in *.ps or *.eps and after I convert them using CONVERT (from
ImageMagick) but the output quality is not good. Since these graphics will
be use for other users they must have a better image quality.
I really appreciate any help,

Asterisk and DTMF
Hi list!
I have an Asterisk server (1.2.14) connected to a E1 line via a TE410P, and
some
PAP2NA connected to it. The PAP2 DTMF configurations is set to INFO and
Asterisk
to INFO too. At first, is INFO method different from RFC2833??
Well, I have two problems. The first is that when I place a call to outside,
via
E1 trunk, sometimes I get some DTMF tones and I'm sure nobody hit any key.

geom_errorbar with ggplot2
Dear All,
I am trying to build an error bar plot with ggplot2. However, even if
the code seems to work, the plot is rather odd, with what seems to be
a continuous line linking the different bars.
I attach below the code I used, as well as the data.

Blocking collect calls in Brazil
Hi list.
I was googling about this subject and found a message to this list
asking the same thing I want, but see no response. So, I'm reposting
it in case someone has a solution for this.
I'd like to know if there's some way to "detect" (not block) a collect
call in a ISDN E1? I need this cause I have my own billing system and
I need to charge my customers for collect calls

Win32 and ELF created files are different
Hi everyone,
I was fiddling with FLAC executable on Linux and also making FLAC files with foobar2000 under WINE. I was using the same exact options for both linux native executable and flac.exe through foobar2000. But I have noticed something: The FLAC files themselves created from flac.exe and flac(ELF) are not bit identical. They differ in something (Not audio data).
Looking at this, I used a

problems with xlab
Dear R-list members,
I'm using the 'effects' package to plot a graph with fixed values. For some reason, I cannot change the label for the 'x' axis using 'xlab=""'. The usual commands work for the y axis and for the main title. My last attempt used the following syntax:
model.effects<-(all.effects(model.1))
plot (model.effects, main="Figure

I did the graphs with:

'Precicipatação(mm)', col='red'))
where anual is list of data.frames. I am plotting just the column "chuva"
