odfWeave error
odfWeave is throwing up a cryptic error, after successfully processing a
file with a large number of figures (~30) and many \Sexpr{} calls. The
error is (at least to me) cryptic. I am not sure where to look to
correct this problem.
Here's the error:

Sweave resource leak: leftover temp files (PR#7998)
Harold, I've taken a closer look at your example and I'd call this an
Sweave bug. It creates tempfiles each time you run it, and doesn't
delete them at the end. For example:
> list.files(tempdir())
character(0)
> testfile <- system.file("Sweave", "Sweave-test-1.Rnw", package = "utils")
> Sweave(testfile, out="junk.tex")

Sweave resource leak: leftover temp files (PR#7999)
This is great. Thank you for your help, but let me make sure I fully
understand. Here is the looping file I use to subset the data frame,
create a tex file, and Sweave it. This results in N number of tex files
where N is equal to the number of rows in the data frame.
list <- unique(wide$stuid)
master = "master.tex"
for (i in list){
tmp1 <- subset(wide, stuid==i)

Experimental Design
Hi everyone,
Does R support DOE (design of experiment) matrix generation? I want to do DOE matrix generation using fractional factorial and central composite but don't know if R has some package for doing them. If yes, then what package or function should I use?
Thank you so much in advance

odfWeave problem in 7.1?
Max & Friends,
I've run into a problem with odfWeave 0.7.5 running under R 2.7.1

Under 2.7.1 I'm getting various parsing errors after Sweaving starts, e.g.:

Sweave
I'm trying to (re)learn Sweave and run into some problems. I use now ubuntu

Slowly getting upto speed on ess. I have a complete (hopefully) .Rnw file,
but the resulting .tex
will not compile. The file does not contain anything exotic, but it produces
pdf figures, and that
is where the problems come:

'weaver' package problem
Hi Seth,
The possibility of caching computations would be a great boon when
one is iteratively refining a paper; so I'm most grateful for your
work on this. Unfortunately I have a problem to report:

error possibly related to sweave, path, and spaces on windows
I have downloaded a file that I don't know how to describe correctly.
It contains R code and Latex, and I should be able to reproduce an
analysis by running an R script in this folder.
There is a line in the R script:
junk <- system(paste("/usr/texbin/pdflatex ",latexFiles[i1]),
intern=TRUE)
that needs to be modified to run on my computer. I use WinEdt with

Colors in Sweave
Hi list,
I was using Sweave and was wondering if anyone has had any luck changing the font colors of the code chunks. For instance, in my .Rnw preample I tried including:
===
\usepackage[usenames]{colors}
\definecolor{darkred}{rgb}{0.545,0,0}
\definecolor{midnightblue}{rgb}{0.098,0.098,0.439}
\DefineVerbatimEnvironment{Sinput}{Verbatim}{fontshape=sl,formatcom={\color{midnightblue}}}

[OT] Typesetting / highlighting R code in Latex
Using Latex and the beamer class, I would like to highlight code snippets.
Does anybody know a suitable 'preprocessor' or 'filter' for R (and/or C/C++)
code ?
I have been including it in simple \begin{verbatim} ... \end{verbatim} and I
know there is a better way -- in fact I saw it used a while back in some
package I looked at. And I didn't write that down...

Changing line length in Sweave output works for numeric, but not for character vectors
Hi there: I'm preparing a report in RStudio 0.96.330 on a Mac OS. I'm running R 2.15.0
I understand from Ross Ihaka's document (http://www.stat.auckland.ac.nz/~stat782/downloads/Sweave-customisation.pdf) that you can modify the line length of Sweave output by a call to options(wdith=x).
This works great for me for numeric output, but not for character vectors that I have to print.

Error with named chunks in Sweave with the development version of R
Dear all,
There seems to be a problem with named chunks in Sweave with the version
of R under development (downloaded yesterday). When I sweave the file
toto.Rnw described at the end of this mail (Ubuntu 10.04 LTS), the
function Sweave returns an Internal error:
