Did I screw up my PDC on this Terminal Services problem?
Hi All, I am upgrading my samba server from a workgroup to PDC server. I am doing this to make a Windows 2008 Terminal server happy. Eventually there will be a bank of them (thank you Virtual Box). Anyway, in my test bed, I have a Samba PDC (newly updated to PDC), a Windows 2008 server, and XP-Pro-SP3. Both Windows machines are able to join the domain and log in as users only in the Samba

Unified Messaging On Thin Client / Terminal Server
I would like to get Unified Messaging working in a Thin Client / Terminal Server environment. What I would like to happen: when a user gets a voice-mail, Asterisk sends an email with a Voicemail-URL that notifies the person they have a message. When they click that from their Remote-Desktop / RDP / Thin Client session, that sends a message via HTTP to Asterisk to play the voicemail on

Xrdp
The VNC server just listens to the appropriate TCP/IP port and then runs Xvnc which does the actual VNC communication. Ideally I'd be able to do the same thing for RDP then the daemon doesn't get any more complicated, and a bug in the RDP layer can't crash the server. I don't know enough about how NX works but I suspect we could do the same thing as for VNC and RDP. I'm

samba 4.2 RDP problem
Hi Mathias I can confirm that this fixed the RDP issue for me whilst not breaking share authentication. I'm still a bit wary of what other affects these configuration options might have though. MS Remote Desktop issue related to Samba 4 ?
Hi all, I am currently struggling with an odd MS Remote Desktop issue which might be related to our Samba4 AD (version: 4.2.0pre1-GIT-d7c22d5 domain/forest-level 2008_R2) setup. We are unable to connect to Win7 machines (all available latest patches installed) via RDP after they have been joined to the domain. We have made sure, that RDP is enabled and the firewall exceptions are in place. We

samba 4.2 RDP problem
Hi Heinz, did you ever resolved this RDP issue? Or found any hints about the possible DNS problems? We run into the same problem here with Win 8.1 Pro clients. RDP for Centos 7
Hi, Does anyone know of a good program for doing RDP to windows servers on C-7? The "Remote desktop viewer" program that comes with C7 is not reliable for me. I frequently have multiple long running RDP sessions and the keyboard will stop responding. The only way I can find to get it started again is to restart the program and login to the servers again. In addition, I cannot find a
