R Hierarchical clustering leaf node
Hello, I am new to the R package. After I use R to perform the hierarchical clustering, I am only interested in retrieving the leaf nodes that share the last common ancestors. As illustrated below, I'd like to retrieve (B, C) as a cluster and then (D, E) as another cluster. Any chance to do this in R? Thanks! BTW, I just subscribed to this list (not sure if the subscription is

Plot and lm
I want to make a log-log plot with a regression line, but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. What I'm trying is: plot(mass,area, log="xy", pch=as.numeric(food)) abline(lm(mass~area)) or plot(mass,area, log="xy", pch=as.numeric(food)) islands$logmass <- log(mass) islands$logarea <- log(area) attach(islands) abline(lm(logmass~logarea)) But that does

On the case `an identical item replaces the dots with spaces' for `--itemize-changes'.
Hi all, The `--itemize-changes' has the following notes within the manual: The other letters in the string above are the actual letters that will be output if the associated attribute for the item is being updated or a "." for no change. Three exceptions to this are: (1) a newly created item replaces each letter with a "+",

Dahdi gains
Hi, I'm trying to find the differences between the two CLI gain parameters of Dahdi : "dahdi set swgain" and "dahdi set hwgain". When I change one of these parameters the output of : asterisk -rx "dahdi show channel X" | grep Gains don't show me any changes. Did "dahdi show channel X" shows HW or SW Gains ? Whan I set rxgain and txgain in my

Reversed but positive axis in trellis plots?
Hi, In my discpipline, it is common to plot one acoustic property on a positive scale but from top to bottom on the ordinate and the same for another measurement on the abscissa. So, the origin of the plot is on the top right of the plot, with increasing values to the left /down. This is to highlight the correlation between the acoustic measurement and the position of the forming structure, for

Grandstream Budge Tone 101 keeps deregistering
Hello, I have a problem with one of three [topic] phones. The phone, which is on the LAN in the same subnet as Asterisk, keeps unregistering from the Asterisk server. Whan it is unregistered there is no way to make a phone call from it, but once it is rang by any other of the phones it registers to Asterisk again. The other two are absolutely fine. The problematic one [ecco] puts this messages

White dot glitch in menu bar with GMA950
I've installed Wine under Ubuntu 8.10 and my windows apps seem to run quite nicely. The only problem I have is a cosmetic gripe. Clicking on the menu bar in a windows app drops down the menu fine (the file menu in Photoshop for example), but as I then move my mouse pointer rightwards over the adjacent menu headings, white dots appear at the dividing point between each menu... Does anyone

loading packages
Thanks to Roger for pointing out the packages spweights and sptests to me. I believe they will be quiet useful in my work. But... I can't get them to work! Firstly, I realised that a newer version of R is available. I have now downloaded and installed it. When I try to 'install packages from CRAN' I get: trying URL `http://cran.r-project.org/bin/windows/contrib/PACKAGES' unable

Asterisk Dry Run
Hi everyone, I just installed asterisk on my system with the purpose of rerouting calls on sip channels. I don't think i need any hardware for that. I am using LIPZ4(zultys) and sjphone as softphones. I tried setting up both of them and to call one from the other on the same machine, however could not. I 1-) I could connect sjphone in isolation to freeworld dialup howver i got no sounds

asterisk call back dail plan
Hi, I meant - if you have more specific questions - please ask them. And writing back to ML would be desirable, because this info might be useful for other people. I can't give you my dialplan, because it's too large and probably useless without lot of external configs. I can just tell you where to look in info, and if you don't have something working as expected - you're welcome

White background in PS pictures
Hi all I am using R to produce postscript pictures via the postscript command. I have never had any problems... until now, when I want to inlcude my .ps file is a LaTeX document *without* a white background. (If it's important, I'm using the prosper class with the whitecross option, so the background in blue.) I would like my .ps file to have a white background. If I read the help

clients logout .............
You should be able to click Tools/Disconnect Network Drive from a Windows Explorer window, then select the connection to the Samba server and click ok. Note, this can be done even if the connection was not mapped to a drive letter, such as by typing \\server\share in the run box. You can then map a drive to the server with a different user account. plotting smoother function on raw data
Hi, I have used the mgcv library to generate a simple additive model. I want to know how to plot the function on the raw data with confidence intervals whan I have TWO variables in the model. I get it to work with one variable but not with two. I am on the limit for what I understand in R, so be gentle. I have read the help file on predict.gam, but did not get any help out of it. #My model:
