Problem with netlogon\logon.bat not mapping all drives
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone could help me, I have searched for some reason but cannot find any. After migrating from a previous samba-3.0.10 (I think) PDC server to a newer samba-3.0.23c server on Centos5, I have the strange problem that my XP clients no longer map all the drives listed in the logon.bat during logon, however if I run logon.bat manually after I'm logged in, all

need migration/upgrade help
Hello All, I am trying to migrate samba from a box with Mandrake 10.1 with Samba 3.0.10 to a new box running CentOS 5.2 with Samba 3.0.28. The two versions of samba are too differnet to simply copy the config and tdb files over to the new box and the Mandrake box won't upgrade past 3.0.10. I could really use some suggestions. Thanks The problem when I do that is the Centos box with Samba

Resize command syntax wrong?
Currently the resize command is under filesystem, and takes a path to the mounted filesystem. This seems wrong to me. Shouldn''t it be under device, and take a path to a device to resize? Otherwise, how can a resize operation when you have multiple devices make any sense? -- To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-btrfs" in the body of a message to

Option LABEL
Hallo, linux-btrfs, please delete the option "-L" (for labelling) in "mkfs.btrfs", in some configurations it doesn''t work as expected. My usual way: mkfs.btrfs -d raid0 -m raid1 /dev/sdb /dev/sdc /dev/sdd ... One call for some devices. Wenn I add the option "-L mylabel" then each device gets the same label, and therefore some other programs

kernel 3.3.4 damages filesystem (?)
Hallo, "never change a running system" ... For some months I run btrfs unter kernel 3.2.5 and 3.2.9, without problems. Yesterday I compiled kernel 3.3.4, and this morning I started the machine with this kernel. There may be some ugly problems. Copying something into the btrfs "directory" worked well for some files, and then I got error messages (I''ve not

btrfs balancing start - and stop?
Hi, My company is testing btrfs (kernel 2.6.38) on a slave MySQL database server with a 195Gb filesystem (of which about 123Gb is used). So far, we''re quite impressed with the performance. Our database loads are high, and if filesystem performance wasn''t good, MySQL replication wouldn''t be able to keep up and the slave latency would begin to climb. This though, is

smbclient sending ICMP unreachable destination host(administratively prohibited)
I'm using fedora 9, 64-bit edition, on a machine acting as a client. I've installed samba-client 3.2.0 from a binary package. I amn't running the server portion of samba(smbd, nmbd, or even winbindd). I'm trying to access shares on another windows machine, on the same network 192.168.1.0/24. Both machines, the client and the server, are using DHCP to acquire IP addresses. When I
