pb with iptables snat script
hi list, oh it''s not really a problem. Each time i fire shorewall, i run a custom iptables script: (for the openvpn machines to have route back from my bridge/fw - $SOURCEIP is the ip of my OpenVPN/Fw/bridge) iptables -A POSTROUTING -t nat -s 10.8.0.0/16 -j SNAT --to-source $SOURCEIP i wish to better integrate it within shorewall, so is there any config files that could achieve the

How to setup dovecot under MACOSX?
I have built Dovecot 1.0 test 67 under MACOSX. But I can not find any tutorial on how to setup it. Please allow me to explain my need. I want to setup a local imap server, and then import all my email from Mail.app and Gnus into it. Thus I can choose to read emails with any client. It's only a single user environment. Could anyone instruct me if there is any tutorial for Dovecot MACOSX

PAM authentication woes with MacOSX
Hi. I've just compiled and installed 1.0beta7 on MacOSX 10.4.6. I have lost the battle with PAM authentication. When I connect to the IMAP server and provide the correct user name and password, the mail client is told authentication failed. Here's what's in the log: Apr 21 22:47:43 shaun dovecot: auth(default): client in: AUTH 2 PLAIN service=IMAP secured

R-2.3 macosx segfault
Dear all, this is my first message to this list. I hope it is not off topic (and should have been posted to R-help for example). I have R-2.3.0 installed on a couple of systems, including powermac G5, iBook G4 (both with MacOSX 10.4.6), windows xp and linux (kubuntu 5.10). When trying to install package aroma from authors web site I found that R for macosx crashes with segfault. This

Sipura-3000 Assistant for Asterisk on MacOSX? Well, maybe, with your help!
Hi We are getting more and more email from Mac users asking how they can connect their MacOSX based Asterisk server to a PSTN phone line. This has led to two ideas ... 1) Mid term: set up a donation fund to sponsor the development of Zaptel drivers for MacOSX Note: if everyone who downloaded the Asterisk installation package for MacOSX during the last two months since its release would donate

Missing Info on /bin/macosx/r-devel
A minor problem ... Since several weeks the "Daily checking results for contributed packages with R-devel" for MacOSX seems to be broken, respectively the "check" file is empty. Please follow the links http://cran.r-project.org/bin/macosx/ and http://cran.r-project.org/bin/macosx//r-devel. Does anybody know, where to find the checking results of R-packages for MacOSX?

Some diffs to libshout for MacOSX
I've applied this, with the difference that the select timeout is 30 seconds to match the poll timeout. It looks like libshout treats a timeout as a fatal error? bnlearn package compilation failure on MacOSX
Hi all. I've recently uploaded a package (bnlearn) to CRAN. It builds fine on both Linux (32 and 64 bit) and Windows, but fails on MacOSX ix86 because of C90 vs C99 issues: http://www.r-project.org/nosvn/R.check/r-patched-macosx-ix86/bnlearn-00install.html Since I've no MacOSX machine at hand, I would like to ask you: why is C99 not the default for gcc on MacOSX ix86? Is it safe to

macosx (mount_smbfs ok - macosx GUI not working)
Hi there, I have machine running: Linux 2.2.20 Samba version 3.0.14a (debian package) Check the end of the email for the samba config file The samba machine is sharing a directory and it is validating users through a windows 2k PDC. Everything works if I use windows/linux clients, but when I try to use a share directory from a macosx client (10.4.4) using the finder (GUI), it doesn't work.

How to use perl bindings for dtrace on macosx leopard ?
According to this page, http://www.apple.com/macosx/technology/unix.html In addition, Java, Ruby, Python, and Perl have been extended to support DTrace, providing unprecedented access for monitoring the performance characteristics of those languages. When I do dtrace -l | grep -i perl on MacOSX 10.5.2. I don''t see any perl providers so I am not sure how I could monitor perl scripts via

Wine HQ in Macosx
Hi I started to work with a new platform: MacOSX Leopard 10.5.4.0 (coming from Ubuntu-Linux) and I tried to use Wine HQ with some XP programs that they worked successfully in Ubuntu with WH. Now, actually, they work fine as well in MacOSX (so congratulations) however, I remember that in Linux I was able to create a link from my desktop to run directly the application and now I do not know how to

OT: Xranr support for MacOSX {was: Wine Window not Maximizing in MacOSX}
Note: This is somewhat related to Wine as fullscreen window support for X11 does not exist, at present, in the base X11 code. Many folks have posted threads asking why this is not so. Bottom line: Without good xrandr support, there will NEVER be true fullscreen support nor the ability to open X11 sessions with sized windows without using the virtual desktop. This is sorely needed and

Some diffs to libshout for MacOSX
Hi, I'm part of a project developing the open source SndKit and MusicKit, which are ObjC frameworks originally from NeXTSTEP, but now on MacOSX and GNUstep. We use libshout.a in part of the SndKit to enable us to schedule and process audio to get sent to shoutcast/icecast servers - pretty cool. Anyway, when compiling libshout on MacOSX it fails because it does not have sys/poll.h, but
