outgoing domu network dies after a while
I have a OpenSuse 10.3 with xen 3.1.0 running and it''s been running fine for a few months. This past weekend it suddenly started to act up and after some troubleshooting I can now say that it seems like the guests(domU) loose the outgoing network pipe, from the console I can see that the TX counter is stuck at the same value but it''s no errors. The goal behind having a OpenSuse hosting an OpenSuse virtual machine is to separate the configurations from the data so I can easily change the configurations without affecting the data. The host keep all the data and share it

Can I mount an NFS volume and re-export via SAMBA?
We have an NFS filer right now that we need to provide our windows users access too. For various reasons they won't use SFU, etc. In our legacy environment we have a file server that does NFS/CIFS natively. In our new environment not so much. We want to provide this service to our users and the solution proposed to me is to utilize SAMBA as the mechanism to do so. After doing exhaustive

*sigh* another RH5 /tmp problem
RedHat 5, when using dhcp to configure the interface calls a script called "ifdhcpc-done" to be executed after a dhcp interface is configured. At the end of the process it updates resolv.conf: if [ -f /etc/dhcpc/resolv.conf ]; then echo "setting up resolv.conf" >> /tmp/dhcplog cp /etc/dhcpc/resolv.conf /etc fi There is no protection against the dhcplog
