Problem getting Java Runtime Environment installed into OpenOffice
Hi, I'm having trouble getting my new install of OpenOffice 2.31 to find my newly installed Java Runtime Environment version jre1.6.0_04 (downloaded from Sun). I tried installing it via Tools>Options>Java (am using OpenOffice Calc to try to set it up). The options dialog box is finding the Free Software Foundation version 1.4.2, but it won't find the new JRE file. I tried

30 sec delay before voice is heard
we are experiencing 30 second delay before voice is heard after answer when we ran wireshark it showed the problem between frames 634 (where the softphone answers) and 1366. Between those frames, asterisk receives RTP packets from both the softphone and the sip carrier, but doesn't forward them to each other.... Then we see a bunch of packets sent at once from the asterisk server, until

OpenSSH for OS/390
I have been trying to compile OpenSSH_4.7p1 for OS/390 and got really stuck. IBM released a build of v3.8.1p1 several years ago, but I do not know whether anyone else has ever managed to compile it for OS/390 or OS/z. The first problem is that the build apparently performs ssh transport exchange using EBCDIC character encoding instead of ASCII (which breaks RFC 4253) and I am not sure how to do

Recommendations for a “real RAID" 1 card on Centos box
Hi, I'm considering setting up my Centos Desktop machine for RAID 1. I read a lot of good info at this site:http://linuxmafia.com/faq/Hardware/sata.html#intel-vitesse about differences in fakeraid and real raid cards. The hardware I plan on installing this RAID card into is an Intel DP35DP motherboard with the Intel E4500 dual core processor, and I have two Mator 500 gig SATA hard drives.

Aw: Re: Re: rsync not copy all information for font file
Ram, ? Look inside the .AppleDouble folder and tou will find the resource forks that hold the main part of the font data. ? Not a 'problem' with netatalk, but just how netatalk works so that it can represent apple files on non-apple filesystems. ? ?If you confirm the data all matches, this will prove rsync is working properly. ? G729 , upgrade asterisk
I'm planning to upgrade my asterisk 1.4.4 to 1.4.6. usually for asterisk upgrade i delete modules directory and include, then compile the new version. Since i have couple of G729 Licenses on this server installed, would i need to call Digium to reactivate these Licenses? Is there any better and faster way of upgrade asterisk? Possibly without losing G729 License? Thanks!

Can anyone tell me why it is not nan? Thanks. Leo _________________________________________________________________ Exercise your brain! Try Flexicon.

VoicePulse Connect
Asterisk Users, Has anybody use Voicepulse Connect for Asterisk? I am trying to cover all my bases because in the past, I got burned with poor quality of service, along with failed DTMF tones with 3 different SIP Providers (Vitelity, Broadvoice, and Teliax). I am running Asterisk 1.2.13 on the Debian Etch system, using the SIP protocol. Any insights would be great. Thanks. -John

I finally got around to testing this on a Bloomfield processor (Early 2009 MacPro 2x2.66 GHz dual-quad core) and the regressions from http://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=22589 are even more severe. For 10 runs of scimark2_1c built with "-O3 -march=native"... llvm 3.5.1 1204.16+/-2.66 Mflops 3.6 branch 866.49+/-1.26 Mflops Do you seriously want to ship with a 39% performance

[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc-4.2 vs gcc 4.4
In order to see how llvm-gcc-4.2 svn performs in code generation compared to the upcoming gcc 4.4, I ran the Polyhedron 2005 benchmarks on a MacPro with the -ffast-math -funroll-loops -msse3 -O3 optimization flags for both compilers. The results are summarized below. Ave Run (secs) Ave Run (secs) llvm-gcc-4.2/ Benchmark llvm-gcc-4.2 svn gcc trunk gcc trunk
