( http://viewcvs.samba.org/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/branches/SAMBA_3_0_26/source/modules/ ) But I can't find samba-3.0.26.tar.gz on samba.org. So, I have two question. 1. Samba on Debian with shares on nfs-filesystem
Hello, Actually I have some troubels concerning samba (3.0.24) on debian (4.0): I would like to have some samba-shares on a nfs-filesystem. NFS works fine for the Linux clients and the Linux server. The nfs filesystem is mounted from an other server on /home. The next step is to set up samba to have some shares on the nfs Filesystem (/home/$LOGIN, anonymized configuration attached).

How to share [homes] in a more flexible way?
Hello everybody, This is the scenario I have: I've joined a GNU/Linux machine to an Active Directory domain using winbind, and I've shared [homes], so now every user of the entire organization were I work can see a shared resource named like his/her username when they connect to that PC, but I don't want that, I just want the people from my department to see their homes (they are the

Incomplete dir listing (ext2fs / FreeBSD)
Hi, I moved a disk with ext2fs from a Linux box (SuSE) into my FreeBSD6.2 box. Some directories on that disk are shared to my Windows boxes via v3.0.26a (according to smbd -V). A couple of directories contain a large number of files (hundreds to thousands). The list of files is incomplete using Windows clients or smbclient on FreeBSD. If I copy the directories to a disk using ufs, the file

I've been running SAMBA 1.9.14 and 1.9.17p4 for successfully for some time. Recently I thought it would be useful to update to the latest SAMBA version 1.9.18p7. This is the first time we are using Samba with the built-in DES. Here is our configuration: Machines: IBM RS/6000 AIX 4.1.4.0 or AIX 4.2.1.0 Compiler: xlC 3.1.4.0 My smb.conf file: [global] printing = aix print command

Is There an Alternative to MEMDISK ?
This isn't an esp urgent issue, but I'd like to use a certain RAM diagnostic (Doc Mem) which I've already posted a note about a couple of months ago. Simply won't work booting the floppy disk image via MEMDISK. In the interim, I've tried to resolve this by changing things on my side. I'm pretty sure it's a XMS incompatibility, as it fails differently depending on

SYSLINUX-3.52-pre5: XP BOOTSEC.BIN Bug
I just encountered my only bug w/ the ISOLINUX+VESAMENU combination from 3.52-pre5. Updated a *working* CD project w/ the new ISOLINUX+VESAMENU combo just last week. Booting my preferred Linux distro (Slax-6) from my custom CDs work perfectly, however when I updated a CD project that includes BartPE/WinPE, BartPE fails to boot w/ 'CDBoot can not boot CD: error 4" msg. For the

R Graph Gallery : categorization of the graphs
Hello all, It seems that the next improvement to the R Graph Gallery is categorization of the graphics, that way each graph will be easier to find. That step should be done *carefully* if we want to avoid the opposite side-effect : graph not reachable through the categories. That's why the wisdom of the R community is required. Graphics will be classified in : - categories -

How do I change the editor in R command window?
Dear R-help, I have started using R on my Linux box (Debian), and I have some problems with setting the editor/keyboard for R. The For instance, arrow-up gives "^[[A", and delete gives "^H". I have a Norwegian keyboard, but that doesn't cause any problems for editors like emacs. Could you advice me on how I can set the editor for R right? I have tried

Install Error on SGI Irix 6.5 (PR#637)
Hi, I'm using R since Version 0.99 on a SGI Indigo 2 with Irix 6.5. I could compile all Versions of R until 1.1.0. When I try to compile Version 1.1.0 or 1.1.1 I get an error in the directory /R-1.1.1/src/unix/X11. Trying to compile the file rbitmap.c in this directory with the gcc compiler command gcc -I. -I../../../src/include -I../../../src/include -I../../../src/include/R_ext

R-(wiki)-pedia?
Is there an R wiki? Looking at the huge amount of traffic on this list, I think wiki could be an exelet outlet for all the constructive enthusiasm here. I don't think it would be too hard to port the existing R documentation (the stuff you get with the ?) onto a wiki system, then users could add their own examples and comments. Having distinct web page style organization would be easier to

ISOLINUX: Updating ISOLINUX.CFG Q
I have a non-bug related question, which has been giving me fits for a while. Can ISOLINUX.CFG be updated on a multi-session disc ? It seems not, as I make m/s CDs all the time and can change every other file on the disc, exc ISOLINUX.CFG. My best guess at this point is that ISOLINUX.BIN can't access secondary sessions on the disc, pos related to the boot-info-table patch. Whether

Postfix on one host/Dovecot (mailboxes) on another - How?
Hi, I'm using Dovecot 1.0.5 on OpenSUSE 10.3. I run postfix/amavis/clamav on one host, postfix uses LDAP to identify whether or not users exist. On this same machine I was running dovecot, so I used dovecot LDA on Postfix master.cf (as mentioned on http://heinous.org/wiki/Virtual_Domains,_Postfix,_Dovecot_LDA,_and_LDAP#Postfix). Now I want to run Dovecot on another machine, how should I

Change text from default overquota message - Possible?
I'm using Dovecot 1.0.5-6 (SuSE 10.3) and using dovecot deliver. Is it possible to change the subject/body of the default overquota message (it says "Automatically rejected mail" on the subject) and also the text from the message? I don't wan't to "hack" anything, just if it's possible to do by editing config files. thanks = Web-Based Privileges
