Simple General Statistics and R question (with 3 line example) - get z value from pairwise.wilcox.test
Hi there, I am trying to do multiple pairwise Wilcoxon signed rank tests in a manner similar to: a <- c(runif(1000, min=1,max=50), rnorm(1000, 50), rnorm(1000, 49.9, 0.5), rgeom(1000, 0.5)) b <- c(rep("group_a", 1000), rep("group_b", 1000), rep("group_c", 1000), rep("group_d", 1000)) pairwise.wilcox.test(a, b, alternative="two.sided",

Reloading smbd session process group membership cache
So the problem is that smbd session processes will forever cache the POSIX group memberships that the logged in user possesses. Consider a following example: *smb.conf: * [share_a] path = /mnt/a valid users = dude *ls -l /mnt:* drwxrwxr-x root group_a a */etc/group:* group_a:*:2000:user Now, a client mounts *share_a* as *dude* and has R/W access to it via his *group_a* group membership. Then,

Reloading smbd session process group membership cache
Credentials are not changed - UID/GID/SID are still the same afterwards. The user is simply being added to another group. Reshape data frame with dcast and melt
Hello, I implemented two functions reshape_long and reshape_wide (see full working example below) to reshape data frames. I created several small examples and the two functions seemed to work properly. However, using the reshape_wide function on my real data sets (about 200.000 to 300.000 rows) failed. What happens is set all values for X, Y and Z were set to 1. The structure of my real data

Winbind AND local users AND local groups
I'm using samba 3.0.28 as distributed by SUN on solaris 10 x86_64 5_08. Samba and kerberos are configured to authenticate to a domain, and domain user authentication, and access to shares goes smoothly. I need to limit access to the samba shares to a few select groups. The problem is those groups aren't showing neither in getent groups nor in wbinfo -g. A conversation with the domain

[RFE] Multiple ssh-agent support
Howdy! I've been working on a prototype that allows to do ssh-agent forward between a guest, using SPICE, and a spice client (remote-viewer/virt-viewer/spicy) The whole idea is to have something similar to "ssh -A guest", but integrated with the desktop environment. As a proof of concept I wrote a standalone ssh-agent that _unlink_ the current running agent in the guest machine and

[RFC][PATCH v2] Support a list of sockets on SSH_AUTH_SOCK
The idea behind this change is to add support for different "ssh-agents" being able to run at the same time. It does not change the current behaviour of the ssh-agent (which will set SSH_AUTH_SOCK just for itself). Neither does it change the behaviour of SSH_AGENT_PID (which still supports only one pid). The new implementation will go through the list of sockets (which are separated by a

[CentOS-devel] Authorization to use CentOS logo in GNOME Boxes
Thanks Rich for drawing this forward, I had missed it. (I generally handle all the trademark usage queries.) The key reference is this one, the trademark guidelines: https://www.centos.org/legal/trademarks/ That document should give the GNOME project all of the authorization and guidelines on how to use and not use the CentOS marks. Authorization to use CentOS logo in GNOME Boxes
People, Firstly, sorry for the cross-list post (centos-devel and centos-docs). I'd like to reach you in order to ask for a formal authorization to use CentOS logo on GNOME Boxes[0]. GNOME Boxes already shows a few other distro's logos as you can check here[1]. Would be possible to get the explicit confirmation that we could use CentOS logo as well? [0]:

Thousand separator on axis
Is there an easy way to add a thousand separator mark on the axis of a plot? The best solution I've found so far is the following: y <- seq(0, 100000, 10000) plot(y, yaxt = "n", ylab = "") axis(2, at = y, labels = formatC(y, big.mark = " ", format = "d"), las=2) But that seems like quite a hassle to do every time around. Is there a way to get the
