Hi, Anybody seen this before? (using a pre-compiled asterisk from the OBS on a sles11sp1) (I mean, i did the same with a 1.6 without any problem, but i need 1.8) after starting: kc3004:~ # /usr/sbin/safe_asterisk: line 145: 16133 Segmentation fault (core dumped) nice -n $PRIORITY ${ASTSBINDIR}/asterisk -f ${CLIARGS} ${ASTARGS} > /dev/${TTY} 2>&1 < /dev/${TTY} Asterisk ended with

refreshing a page continuously
I am using periodically call remote on a page to do an action similar to top on unix. I would like this periodically call remote to act on milliseconds and not seconds. Is there a way for it to go faster than 1 second frequency or is that the fastest? Also, is there a better way of doing this than sending ajax calls every second because it does seem kind of messy. How to continuously gather statistics?
Hello, I recently upgraded to the latest version of Dovecot, and want to use the newly introduced logging / event system. I want to fetch the statistics every couple of seconds, and push those to our logging platform. Metrics such as: number of IMAP commands, average time they took, etc. However the metrics as reported by Dovecot continously increment. So I see two solutions: - Our solution

"Continuously colored" colorkey
Hi, I use the levelplot function of the lattice library with the option col.regions=gray(200:400/400) in order to get a "color-grid" of 201 different gray colors (actually if you look at the vector, some consecutive colors are the same). In order to make the colors in the colorkey as "smooth/continuous" as possible I use the maximal number which is possible for the

Using ices or shout with continuously growing files?
Hi people, I'm using an external mp3pro encoder that creates a contuously growing file from a live input. However, ices and shout read the file size, and stop when that value is reached, then they start playing the file over again. What I want is that it keeps playing the file, as it should be able to keep playing until eternity :) I've copied the output of shout beneath. Is there

How to Playback a file continuously during conversation?
hello all, I would like to create an application where a file is played repeatedly in the background while two parties are having a conversation. Does anyone know of a way to achieve this? I have been looking into the ManagerAPI to redirect the call to a meetme room. Then I try to introduce a third party that will just play the file continuously, but with no luck. Is there a different/simpler

Using ices or shout with continuously growing files?
I also tried such things: lxserv:/mnt/fatbass# tail -f recording.mp3 | /usr/local/icecast/bin/ices -M stdinpcm -h localhost -p 40044 -P password Logfile opened Could not find a valid playlist file. Ices Exiting... In this case I try to KEEP READING the mp3 file (which becomes continuously larger), and pipe it to ices (how should I do this?). But ices isn't nice to me and keeps asking for a

CyberPower usbhid-ups continuously disconnects/reconnect
I have had a similar problem to many other people for the last few months with my Cyberpower UPS. It was working properly after reboot about one in five times; the rest of the time it would endlessly disconnect and reconnect, according to syslog messages. The latest I was able to find towards a solution is http://www.mail-archive.com/nut-upsuser at lists.alioth.debian.org/msg06671.html The root

Samba 3.0.28 buffer overflow
Folks, Came across a reproduceable fault with HP's latest version of Samba which is based on 3.0.28 code.....wouldn't surprise me if this has been fixed in later versions. Did a new install last week on OpenVMS 8.4 for a customer to run his CMS on. We can write several thousand files no problem, but when it comes to manipulating the modified date on each of the files samba will choke on

Question About Samba version 3.0.28-1.e15_2.1
I can't open a file (on our samba server) using Actis, When I troubleshoot the problem using Wireshark, see SMB protocol using FIND_FIRST2 and filename using obscure Windows metacharacters, e.g. USAARG03V>>A.SWK , which gives STATUS_NO_SUCH_FILE (Samba is interpreting the name literally) But if the files are copied to a local drive Actis can find them. Thanks for your

root postexec issue on both Samba 3.4.5 and 3.0.28
Hi, there I'm using Samba 3.4.5 and 3.0.28 on RHEL 5.2, and I noticed that on both samba servers 'root postexec' script in [netlogon] is executed automatically when logged in for around 11 minutes. This makes me crazy to track when a use is logged out. The man page smb.conf.5 says: " postexec (S) This option specifies a command to be run whenever the service is

upgrade 3.0.28 to 3.5.3 (SerNet package)
Hi all, I have been upgrading the samba package on a SLES10 (i686) machine with the new SerNet 3.5.3 package. The server is using the ldap backend for users and passwords. It has been working fine until I tried to use a DOS lan manager client. A normal user was not able to "net use * \\server\share" and authenticate using the userid and password. The error message in the smbd.log file

Samba 3.0.28 with VFS-Module "GPFS"
Hi Rob, on your Info for Version 3.0.25 you pointed out the VFS-Module GPFS for using features of the underlaying GPFS-Filesystem. Also the man-pages-3/vfs_gpfs.8.html points to that module, but I can't find it anywhere. We are using a GPFS 3.2 3-Node Samba Cluster (3.0.24/28) on Dell HW. We would be very glad if it is posible to get - Quota Recognition for our users (we use "max

Samba 3.0.28/3.0.32
I've looked at the CentOS docs-list as well as the Wiki as I was interested in Samba. On one CentOS box I've got 3.0.32 (the latest bug-fixed version from Samba.org) and on another I've got 3.0.28 (the latest from upstream). The docs look almost the same and the docs refer to security = share. However 3.0.32 comes with a blank smb.conf making it harder to get a secure server up and
