Speex and Symbian
Hi every one, I know that speex suports Symbian now in the unstable release but I wounder if any one can compile a decoder for Symbian MMF? I have googled for one but ending up with only "yes, speex suports Symbina" and no binary. I would use it to finaly listen on my audiobooks but I think it would be a good demonstration aplication. Speex hardware requirements?
Compared to todays PDAs the GameBoy Advance (GBA) is low spec. it has a 16MHz ARM7tdmi RISC processor. 32-bit but it can handle 16-bit instructions in a mode that resembles "bytecode" (a 32-bit instruction is executed using a 16-bit instruction). I got a feeling that the GBA would need a FPU. For more information on the GBA visit this info page:

Speex hardware requirements?
Also, you would be sattisfied with the narrowband decoding because the GBA sound quality isn't very good, however, that depends greatly on what you're going to do with speex on a GBA.... (an RPG with audio dialogs? ;-)) also, using a DSP in a GBA Cartridge sounds like overkill to me, however, that depends greatly on what are you developing and what's your target audience....

Speex hardware requirements?
Hi evrybody, I wonder witch hardware requirements it is for speex decoding (especially 16kHz mono sound). Could it be possible to use the Gameboy advance hardware if you added a FPU? or dose it need to be more powerfull? ----------------------------- Reclaim Your Inbox! http://www.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird/ Rediscover The Web! http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

Cube rotation
Hi, First of all I would like to say that I love the work you are doing. Xgl/compiz is a great project! I really appreciate what you are doing :) However, there is one feature that I'm missing, or rather the possibility to disable another feature. I would like to be able to use multiple viewports, but I don't want the rotation animation. Sure, rotating the desktop to switch viewport is

Question...
It's me again. I really appreciate all the help you people have given me. It's helped out alot! Here is my question: Why when I add a valid users list to my smb.conf files (because I run samba on multiple servers) does it make the network neighbourhood not work for the samba work group? I get: The computer or sharename, could not be found. Make sure you typed it correctly, and

Speex hardware requirements?
I think narrowband decoding should work then (at least if you disable perceptual enhancement). As for wideband, it would at least require shortcuts in the QMF (replacing with IIR filter) to work. SSH1 security with Kerb5
Hi, I am trying to decide if it is worth the time to test the Kerberos support in a port I am working on of Openssh 3.5p1. Does using Kerb5 with SSH1 solve the security problems inherent in protocol 1 and bring it up to par with the security level of SSH2 or are there other issues that Kerb5 authentication won't help for SSH1? Thanks, Greg Lambert --------------------------------- Do

poppassd and pam_winbind.so
I thought that I would post this and see what others think. I wanted a way to authenticate mail users with pass through auth to a win2k box, so I don't have to add accounts on our mail server, just the 2k box. But the problem is a way for them to change their password off-site. So I've been trying to get poppassd (1.8.4 - current) to work with the pam_winbind.so module with very limited

pam_winbind adding "BUILTIN+users" secondary group to non-AD account?
I'm working on a PAM setup that will ignore winbind/AD completely for users listed in /etc/passwd, and do the samba thing for all other users. Mostly it seems to work, but there's one weird side-effect. For non-AD users (only), an AD group "BUILTIN+users" is being added as a secondary group. If I kill winbind, it still gets added, although only the gid is available (no name).

can't find "pam_winbind.so"
Hello to all, I am trying to setup samba 2.2.2 with winbind and i have gone through all the documentation that i could find in regards to this. Everything has been going smoothly up until now. The html docs for setting up winbind states that i should copy "pam_winbind.so" from the /samba/source/nsswitch/ to /lib/security/, simple enough but i do not have "pam_winbind.so" in

Restricting logins using pam_winbind require_membership_of ?
Hi. I have some shares on a server that are offered to specific Active Directory user groups, but the business doesn't want those users to be able to login to the server. If I were to add "require_membership_of" to pam_winbind to limit logins and shut out the users I don't want, would it also have the side effect of denying those users access to the shares as well? Regards,

pam_winbind + password never expires [re-post]
Sorry for the repost, but I've not gotten any response and the problem persists. solaris pam_winbind.so session timeout
Hi, i have installed the pam_winbind.so Library to authentificate the User again ADS. It works fine, but the User will disconnect after the timeout to wait before abandoning a login session you can configure in /etc/default/login. With pam_winbind.so of samba 3.0.7 it works without any error with the same pam.conf Konfiguration. I use solaris 8. Whats wrong ?? regards, Peter Naber

Trouble compiling pam_winbind 3.0.8pre1 on Solaris 9
