smb.conf, in addition to my questions of yesterday
Hello, *
Here is my current smb.conf . I didn't want to send it immediately (in some
groups that is not done) and I have omitted some dozens of shares at the end,
which are similar to the ones present.

OK, am I missing something ??
Hi all,
Didn't get any replies to my previous query, so I thought I'd try again.
Since I last emailed out, my station has appeared on yp.icecast.org, so I
really don't know what was going on there....
This time, however, I'm hot on the trail of a generally crappy output
stream from icecast/streamcast/ices.
It stutters; it halts on track changes; it causes the little red

SSH ok, SFTP ok , SCP broken... custom shell
Hi,
Can anyone explain why a shell-wrapper script of the following form breaks scp?
Can this kind of thing be re-worked to fix the breakage?
The wrapper does not produce output, and checks a shell.allow file to see if
access to a real shell such as bash should be granted.
------------
eg :
#!/bin/sh
if [ grep $LOGNAME /etc/shell.allow 2>&1 > /dev/null ]
then
exec -a - /bin/bash

[Flac-users] If it decodes OK, would it have tested OK?
Sorry for the elementary question, but heck, that's why I'm on
flac-users and not on flac-developers.
If a .flac file decodes without error, does that mean that it would have
tested OK? I've been assuming that there's an implicit test in the
decoding process, and that a mismatch on the internal checksum would
make flac report an error on decoding instead of simply saying

.conflicts.OK no longer working regardless of export(.conflicts.OK) due to "stoplist"
Hi,
in (at least) R v2.14.2 and R v2.15.0 alpha, '.conflicts.OK' is not
exported and hence to seen by library().
DETAILS:
In R-devel thread '[Rd] Suggestion: Not having to export .conflicts.OK
in name spaces' on Mar 17-22, 2010
[https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-devel/2010-March/057017.html] it was
discussed that one had to export '.conflicts.OK' in the namespace,

Moving a domain to new Linux install - Win7 ok but WinXP not ok
Hi all,
I am migrating a Samba 3 domain from an ageing server to a new server. I've
exported all users from the old server and imported them on the new server
using the following command (LDAP to TdbSam):
pdbedit -i ldapsam:ldap://127.0.0.1 -e tdbsam:/tmp/tdbsam.agix
scp /tmp/tdbsam.agix new.server.local:/etc/samba/passdb.tdb
I've set the same SID on the new server. Windows7

two printers: one works ok in w9x/2k, other printer unavailable in Win98 BUT ok in w2k!
Hi all,
I try to explain my strange Samba problem: I've done a linuxbox with
Mandrake 8.2 distro; installed Samba 2.2 packages and two printers attached
via parallel port: one works with the motherboard built-in parallel port,
the other is connected via a pci parallel port card. Both works fine on
win2000 clients (and on the linuxbox, too :); on windows 98 clients, both
printers are

Dear all!
I'm stuck.
I've got a dovecot IMAP server running (TLS, port 149) on Ubuntu 13.04
server behind a DSL router. The mailserver's IP is 10.0.0.1
When I connect to my mailbox from my intranet-PC (10.0.0.2), everything
works as expected. Login OK, acces to all mailboxes is ok, everything.
netstat -nt on my email server shows me:

File sharing is ok, but new ADS user validation is not ok
We have Samba 3.2.4 on two SLES 10 (one is SP1, the other SP2 64bit)
machines. Both are member servers in our ADS, which was over the past
month given some additional DCs, new IPs for all DCs, and upgraded to
Windows 2008 (from win2003). The krb5.conf and nsswitch.conf files on
the two machines are identical; the smb.conf files are *nearly*
identical in their common section; the filewall rules

ping out of domU OK ping in to domU not OK
I''ve setup Xen 3.0.2-2 (binary install) on Ubuntu 6.06, got my domUs up
and running, got them connected to the Internet but I can''t even ping to
any of these VMs.
Now I''m not linux/xen genious but could the problem be that xen-br0
doesn''t have an IPv4 address? (it''s got an IPv6 address)
Since I don''t use IPv6 on my network this seems a

wrapper for "ok" button
hi all,
is there a way inside a shell script to send key presses to a program
that does not support silent command line arguments???
Example: alsaconf pops up with a screen with info and has OK,
so the user must hit OK, then a screen appears to select the driver,
the default is good so again another "OK", then another prompt about
modifying /etc/modprobe.conf and again I want to accept

BigDecimal type, is it ok to now store money information as a decimal

fixtures not loading when running rake test - ok other times
Hallo -- I have the most bizzare problem.
I have a test called PropertyTest that runs absolutely fine. Even if I
totally clear the test database before running it, it happily scoots
off, loads all necessary fixtures, runs & passes all tests.
My problem arises when I run rake test:units.
Then, all other tests pass fine, but this one starts failing as if the
fixture data simply

Class definition OK?
Something''s not working, and I just want to make sure that my class is
not to blame and that I''ve got how it works straight in my head:
The attr_reader parts make those :something (hash values, i think)
accessible as @class.something attributes outside of the class. So, once
I find the right session in the controller, I can access those values as
@session.something. Right?

Validating that a foreign key is present and ok
How do I validate that a model object''s attribute is a valid foreign
key? The problem is, I can''t check if the attribute is a valid foreign
key if the attribute doesn''t even exist.
For example, every employee must be in a department. In the following
code, if an employee''s department_id is not present then
Department.find_by_id(department_id) might cause
