Re: IPSec Passthrough fails when using CiscoVPNclient
Hi Vene, Would appreciate any help you can give as I am not sure which NAT you are talking about. A little more background. I am replacing a Windows 2000 routing and remote access machine that was acting as the gateway and performing NAT for Internet access for our local clients. In this setup the cisco VPN clients had no problem connecting to the vpn concentrator. The only difference in any

probes on udp port 500
Last couple of days some of my hosts were probed for UDP port 500 (IKE daemon, used by IPSec for key exchange) from dialup IPs. Don't remember seeing similar probes before. Some new vaulnerability that script kiddies (and pro crackers) are trying out, or is this some old stuff? I do remember there were some security problems with racoon in the past (that were fixed in current CentOS

XP can see Linux but Win98 can't
Dear Samba List: Thx in advance for all help that can be provided. I have set up a samba server on a RedHat 8.0 box, and I know I've got it configured correctly, because I can do everything I would ever want to do with it with a networked Windows XP laptop. However, a third and fourth machine, both running 98SE, also on the network, cannot see the server, no matter what I try. These two

server signing broken for non-kerberos auth
I'm working with the Solaris bundled version of samba 3.5.5 and having a problem with server signing. samba is configured into an active directory domain with security = ads. With signing enabled, connections from clients in the domain work fine. However, connections from clients not in the domain fail: ----- >net use /user:WIN\henson \\ike.unx.csupomona.edu\henson Enter the password for

Latest openswan update does no longer connect to Cisco VPN 3000 Series
Does anyone else noticed problems after updating openswan to openswan-2.6.32-27.2.el6_5.i686 ? In our case a connection to Cisco VPN 3000 Series would no longer work. I can see in the log an ASSERTION FAILED error and the connection would remain in Pending phase 2. Win2K Workstation Disconnecting Shares from Samba Server
Team: I have a Linux Server running Debian Testing (2.4.18 kernel) and Samba 2.2.3a-12.1 It's been running GREAT. This is a marvelous product. I have a minor issue, though. 2 of the 14 Win2K (all at SP3 and fully "Windows Updated") will "disconnect" the shares on the Samba server after only a few seconds of inactivity. This isn't typically a problem, except that

Apparent xapian.org website misconfiguration?
Hi All, Not sure if you already know this: I was just in the process of showing someone xapian, when I found that the website is not functioning correctly. It appears that PHP config is somehow not functioning correctly. -- My apologies if this is the wrong place to report this, or if you already know this problem exists. Best, .ike

preformatted and '#' in manual pages
Dear All, I have the following in a .Rd file: ... human readable (not binary) format. The format itself is like the following: \preformatted{ \# vertex1name vertex2name [optionalWeight] vertex3name [optionalWeight] } Here, the first vertex of an edge is preceded with a pound sign ... and it is fine with R 2.9.2, but fails on R-devel, when building the PDF version

create sequence of numbers
Hello. I want to create some sequence of numbers . So far I used sequence which does not work always seq(CRagent[[1]]$xy[1],CRagent[[2]]$xy[1],by=0.01) Error in seq.default(CRagent[[1]]$xy[1], CRagent[[2]]$xy[1], by = 0.01) : wrong sign in 'by' argument Calls: seq -> seq.default if the parameters are in descending form. The ideal would be to be able to use seq like this

R step-by-step execution
Hello! I wouldl ike to ask you if R supports step by step execution. I have written some nested loops and I would like to check on every step what are the values of some variables. Printing all the variables just creates a really big output of numbers. Could you please give some debugging tutorial that included the aforementioned functionalities? |Moreover can you please tell me how I

Hi All, I need to configure a VPN between a FreeBSD-4.8 box and a Linux (FreeS/WAN) box. In the Linux side, the network administrator installed FreeS/WAN with RSA authentication without IKE support. Does anybody knows if is possible to make my FreeBSD box connect a VPN with the Linux box? If so, could point me to a documentation about how to install IPSec with RSA authentication and how to make

groups of hostnames
Hello, I am using shorewall for about a day now :) and so far so good (it looks like a really great software). I have a question though I could not answer from the docs. I have a large set of hosts which will be used to limit access to SSH. Is there a way to ''group'' these under an alias and use it afterwards for setting rules? I thought about using an action.something for
