Hello,

FW: Help Please! - Copying files from Windows to Samba share loses connection
Aaron,
Yes, I left the server string out intentionally because of how the mapped
drive description showed in Windows. Could this be causing my problem? I
was able to join this server to the domain and I could retrieive a list of
users using the winfo command.
Thanks!
Will

Samba Winbind wbinfo -u fails with "Error looking up domain users"
Hi,
After functioning correctly for more than 6 months suddenly Samba died : the users and usergroups are not recognized anymore. Restarting the Windows 2000 ADS (mixed mode) server and/or the Debian Samba server does not help. I even re-added the server to the domain:
net rpc join -U Administrator reports a sucessful join.
Active Directory shows the Debian server's computer account

wbinfo -u responds with Error looking up domain users
Hi all,
I have an Samba + LDAP PDC and BDC setup with a trust to an NT 4
domain. I am using Samba 3.0.21c on Sles 9. HRH is the Samba domain
and Hendricks is the NT4 domain.
When using getent passwd and/or wbinfo -u on the pdc all of the users
from both domains are listed:
getent passwd:

wbinfo -u: Error looking up domain users
Hi all,
Sorry if this has been asked, but I haven't had any luck with my
searches, so I would assume it hasn't.
I have joined my samba box to my AD domain ( win2k server ). I can do
individual user lookups with wbinfo -a user%pass successfully. But I
can't retrieve a domain user list with `wbinfo -u`. `wbinfo -g` works,
sorta, but it only returns the BUILTIN accounts ( System

Hi all,
I have a samba 2.2.8a install runing on a debian woody. The samba is working fine and I am able to map shared drives. I want to use a Primary Domain Controller to authenticate users. I have included the necessary options in smb.conf,
# separate domain and username with '+', like DOMAIN+username

# use uids from 10000 to 20000 for domain users

plotting sorted factors
Hello,
The problem is that the factors are not orderd by the row number. If you
want to check their order, use
str(sortdata)
and you'll see Santa-Rosa was attributed factor level 4 (in the output,
first variable, the 3rd and 4th).
Try the following.
sortdata <- read.table(text="
