AW: problems with Iptables in DomU
Christian, make sure your domU Kernel Modules under /lib/modules/<KernelVersion> have the same vermagic and modversion as your domU Kernel ! Or try loading the ipt_filter module manually with "modprobe -f" also see "man modprobe" Regards, Markus -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: xen-users-bounces@lists.xensource.com [mailto:xen-users-bounces@lists.xensource.com] Im

Session cookies not passed on first redirect
Hello Campers! Is it just me or does Camping init the session twice on a redirect? If I have an app and when the user visits it for the first time, a session is generated. Afterwards I redirect the user in a service (that basically does auth) and he gets bounced to the login page - but when I arrive at the login page my SID somehow has changed :-( so there is a stale session dangling

Natural vs National in R signon banner?
Actually, I do agree with you about Microsoft. But they have so many users that their terminology should not be ignored. Here are a few more views: https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/ssw_aix_71/com.ibm.aix.performance/natl_lang_supp_locale_speed.htm https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23824_01/html/E26033/glmbx.html

Natural vs National in R signon banner?
Just leave it, I think. Some nations have 4 national languages (as Martin will know), some languages are not national, and adopted children often do not speak their native (=born) language... I suspect someone already put a substantial amount of thought into the terminology. -pd > On 1 Sep 2017, at 09:45 , Martin Maechler <maechler at stat.math.ethz.ch> wrote: >

SAMBA + LDAP Single Signon Achieved
Hello all!! I have partially achieved full single-signon, synched passwords with Samba 2.2.5 and OpenLDAP 2.0.25 on Mandrake 8.2. I can change my PDC password from a Win2K box and it synchs the Linux/Unix/LDAP password correctly. I can change my password from Linux using 'passwd' and it synchs the PDC password. Samba is the PDC, and uses LDAP as the smbpasswd backend. This all works

Account Lockout (Repost)
Hi all, My boss is still questioning me for an answer. I've searched thru this archive thru the beginning of the year as well as searched thru Google, but still haven't found the answer to the this question.. Is there a way in Samba to automatically disable/lockout an account if the user has tried to signon more than a set number incorrectly? As an example: if JDOE tries to sign into

phpmyadmin hang..
It seems that I can never get through a phpmyadmin session w/o it hanging on "Waiting for http://....". The only way I have found to correct this is to cycle Apache. I can always get past the signon portion, but it hangs at various portions of selecting DBs or Tables. CPU is not overly active, all httpd daemons running, no myphpadmin remnants running. Can't find any problems in

Single Sign-on for UI development (Re: Samba-tool --simple-bind-dn?)
I'm going to rephrase my question Are any of you using any time of single signon technology to interact with active directory in a development project? I'd like to be able to grab the authentication with a user first authenticates as a domain admin via, say Apache, and then re-use this auth to give this admin a list of domian user. Not sure of the best approach. -- Greg J. Zartman

Natural vs National in R signon banner?
The R signon banner includes this statement: Natural language support but running in an English locale Should that not say 'National' instead of 'Natural'? Meaning that LOCALE support is enabled, not that the interface understands human language? Please ignore this and forgive me if this is an inappropriate post. I am a N00B in R. Natural vs National in R signon banner?
The way it's phrased now makes it seem that English is not a Natural language ("Natural language support *but* running in an English locale"). Why not just state: "running in an English locale" and leave it with that? Better to leave something out than to be unclear (being correct formally does not always mean being clear to all users). -M Op vr 1 sep. 2017 om 11:00

Rails with Apache and FastCGI under Windows and strange errors
Hi, I''m deploying a rails application under Windows (not my choice) using Apache 2.0.59 (I''m stuck with Apache 2.0 since the customer wants a single-signon solution)and FastCGI. The rails application talks with an MS SQL Server (again, not my choice) on a different machine. And now, enter stage left: Strange Errors. Infrequently I get "Rails Application Errors"
