Change password expiry date for ALL users?
Hello,
I want to set the expiry date for passwords for all users with one
command. As --pwd-must-change-time only works for a single user and
policy settings are not applied after a change, I was wondering how to
solve this. Is the only way to write a script which runs "pdbedit
--pwd-must-change-time..." for every user?

Strange locking behaviour upsets Apache
We have a server which runs Samba and Apache. Web developers edit their
files (via Windows mapped drives) from Windows XP SP2. These files are
typically CGI files and the developers' routine is:
while (web page not quite right) {
1. Edit file
2. Save
3. Click Reload on web browser
4. Check results
}
They go around that loop many times during a typical development run.

Tips/hints for Windows network management
Hello,
I'm looking for some extremely general tips/hints/ideas here, because I
am sure that I may be missing out on some good ways of managing the
Windows PCs on my network.
This is what I have and what is available to me:
- Samba 3.0.x (current Debian/Sarge version)
- LDAP backend for Samba
- Windows XP SP2 clients
- Domain users are typically unprivileged users

Samba+LDAP: Minimal permissions for sambaLMPassword/sambaNTPassword attributes?
Hi,
what are the minimum permissions for the attributes
sambaLMPassword/sambaNTPassword for the the LDAP administrator account
so that Samba is just enabled to use it for authentication with
ldapsam backend.
It seems like auth is not enough, is this true?!
Thanks,

Windows 7 v. Samba: why is default network profile in 'NETLOGON/Default User.v2' not used?
Setup:
- Samba 3.5.6 (Debian Stable release, amd64);
- Testing Windows 7 client behaviour, specifically with regard to users
who don't yet have profiles.
The Windows docs state that a domain logon for a new user will cause the
default network profile to be used if available, if not then a default
local profile is used instead. The location for the default network
profile is

Skilled API consultant required - preferablywith Salesforce.com intergration
Because it's a new service without much traction and I need something
now and also because this will be a fairly large project and as such I
don't want to use a third party service to collect a 'fee'.

Newbie: Samba Intergration into W2K Domain/ADS
Hello everyone. I humbly admit I need some direction. I have search newsgroups and the Samba help files, but I must be missing something or just not getting it.
I am comfortable witrh Samba in a small workgroup environment, I feel like a fish out of water when trying to intergrate Samba into a W2K Domain/Active Directory environment. While I consider myself technical, I've never had to manage

Intergration testing with ordered fixtures
Hi all.
I have a question on accessing fixtures by name.
I''m doing integration testing very similar to what is described in
Jamis''s excellent writeup at
http://jamis.jamisbuck.org/articles/2006/03/09/integration-testing-in-rails-1-1.
The problem is that I am using ordered yml fixtures so that rake loads
each element in the correct sequence. I need to do this because my

asterisk intergration in third party web application
lo all,
i'm quite new to asterisk, i've tested asterisk@home and decided to try
and complete a little project.
i'd like to make some kind of web integration of asterisk with a classic
web board like invision/SFM/phpbb and so on..
The main idea is to let members of the board have an extension created
in asterisk when they register or get promoted to a special members group.

Asterisk - WHMCS Intergration
Gday Guys
I was wondering if anybody might have some ideas, other then saying to get a programmer to code something up for me.
I have seen it done before, and what i am after is a module for asterisk/freepbx that will communicate with WHMCS,
What i would like to achieve from this, is a section on WHMCS client profile for a security pin, and when they call through for support, it asks them to

Everything works well except that if someone logs on to the Samba Server, they see all the shared folders there and also a folder with their own name %USER%. This Folder is not accessible, one cannot enter into this

speed of samba vs Windows
Is there any reason to believe that a samba server would be slower when
serving up roaming profiles than a real Windows server? I know roaming
profiles are slow by nature and that there are things you can do to help
like configuring ffolder redirection. But all else being equal, how would a
samba server compare to a Windows server when it comes to speed specifically
with respect to roaming
