How to keep difference between 2 SIP-accounts/trunks from same server ??
Hey list, I have a problem when I host 2 SIP-accounts on the same Asterisk-server. Asterisk picks out the SIP-account on alphabetic order A --> Z. In my sip.conf : register => user1:passwd1 at server/user1 register => user2:passwd2 at server/user2 [YOCAN-3starsnet] type=peer host=server username=user1 secret=passwd1 fromuser=user1 accountcode=user1_in [ITCENTER-3starsnet] type=peer

File owning and rights problems
Hi! I use protocol manager on a boot diskete to map a network drive share which is shared by a samba server. (i.e net use i: \\server\d) I give a username and a password which exists in /etc/samba/smbpasswd (i.e user name: user1 and password: passwd1) but when I create and/or edit a file, it changes the ownership to that file to owner user: dobody and group owner: nobody. Also the rights are

Dev Usergroup
I hate to ask such a stupid question but after searching via the following means, I have not been able to figure out how to join the developer mailing list: 1. FAQ - Says to search the header (depending on template) to find usergroups and request to join one. I could not find any such thing after much searching. 2. Searched Forums - The only one available is the Wine Users forum and using the

NetBIOS name resolution from Linux
Hi all, I set up a Samba server (version 3.0.24) names "Lamp" on a Debian Etch distribution. It provides a "guest" (guest ok = yes, guest only = yes, security = SHARE) access to a "share" directory, which works fine. Indeed, I can access \\lamp\share from a Windows machine (named "Ginger") without issuing a password. I can also ping the Linux machine

NT always comes up with "incorrect password or unknown username for \\linuxsamba\publicspace\" It works fine if I use a real username that I fix up in /etc/smbpasswd. But if I want

Passing an array of user groups to a define
As I try to get some flexibility in the creation of users, I switched to a define. problem is, I can''t pass an array of user groups anymore. This either results in - wrong group creation: group1,group1group2,group2 (see that group1 and group2 are concatenated in the middle, undefined group) - error: Group names must be provided as an array, not a comma-separated list. I use the

question about winbind rid idmaping
Hello, I have just realized that winbind rid idmapping create the following idmapping for user, below an example: # id HYPERFILE\\simone *uid=11663*(HYPERFILE\simone) gid=10513(HYPERFILE\domain users) groups=10513(HYPERFILE\domain users),*11663*(HYPERFILE\simone),3011(BUILTIN\users) I'm confused about group mapping 11663(HYPERFILE\simone), winbind created a mapping for a group that has

ldapsam, Sun JES Directory Server, Solaris 9
Hello, Help!! I'm struggling with ldapsam. I'm trying to configure Samba to use our LDAP directory (Sun's directory server) for the storage of Samba user accounts. It already stores our unix system accounts. I have successfully imported the schema file into our directory server and have compiled samba with the "--prefix=/opt/btifs/samba --with-ldapsam" options.
